Despite not having any collegiate coaching experience, hall of fame running back Marshall Faulk would add another well-accomplished former NFL star to the Colorado staff. Starring for San Diego State back in the 90s, Faulk accumulated 5,562 yards from scrimmage and 62 touchdowns in three years for the Aztecs. Finishing as a Consensus All-American in his final two seasons, Faulk was selected second overall in the 1994 NFL Draft and went on to play 12 years in the NFL. Faulk ranks fifth all-time in the NFL for yards from scrimmage with 19,154 yards. While Faulk doesn’t have coaching experience, his knowledge and experience in football could provide tremendous value to the Buffaloes. Since Sanders joined Colorado from Jackson State in 2023, he hasn’t had a running back eclipse 400 yards in a season. With Colorado taking a jump from four wins in 2023 to nine wins in 2024, the pressure will be on for Sanders to show he can win games without his two star players.

It would be an amazing hire, but one little question. If Colorado doesn't have money for nil or to pay prime and his staff, then how can they afford to pay a third hall of fame coach for their football program? Just asking. Colorado is using Prime for revenue and interest in their school without paying the one's who made it possible. It's really embarrassing for Colorado to play the broke game with paying people.

They have NIL money. Boulder, CO, is loaded with cash. The collectives just wanted to see some results.

Colorado was able to get rid of their collective that raise money to pay players. The school set up a yearly fund of 22 million to pay players. This is line with the top conferences.
