4:05 if the goalkeeper's teeammate passed the ball with his foot to the goalkeeper, the goalkeeper must not use his hands or it will be a handball
@ballipny3 жыл бұрын
Well kind off, it dose not have the same penalty as if an outfield player would handle the ball inside the penalty area. If the goalkeeper handles a ball thats passed to him by a teammate, the other team is awarded an indirect freekick from that spot.

The last one is from Rene Higuita and it real: That is "El Escorpion/The Scorpion", it was a bit of a show off move but it´s one of the best plays ever by a goalkeeper. The first one is from a World Cup Final and saved Spain to win the cup later in the game. There were some of the best keepers there: Casillas from Spain, Oliver Khan from Germany, "El Gigi" Gianluggi Buffon from Italy even The Black Spider Lev Yashin from the URSS

@@jumpguyty if his teammate passes the ball, with his feet (important to know any other back pass i.e. chest, knee, head, the goalie can handle the ball), back to his goalie it's a foul it he picks the ball up. Which means it's a free kick inside his own box and a major advantage for opposing team. Not a penalty kick but and indirect free kick which means 2 or more players have to touch ball before a goal can be scored. Direct free kick means goal can be scored directly from the dead ball shot.
@mfgeedorah4793 жыл бұрын
Fun fact: The goalie at 3:45 Rogerio Ceni, has scored 131 goals across his career. Whenever the team got a free kick or penalty kick they would let him have it because he was just so lethal when it came to those. He scored 21 goals in just one season in 2005 which is more than any players ever will.
@plutopingvin4543 жыл бұрын
21 is more than any other player will? Maybe more than goalkeepers will cuz there’s plenty of wingers and strikers who has outscored that. Even midfielders.

4:05 Although the ball came from his teammate (which generally means the goalkeeper must not use his hands), the pass has to be intentional and not substantially deflected, which wasn't the case here (the ball was deflected into the air). So he could have used his hands. What I think was on the goalkeepers mind was, that if he used his hands (flat or as a fist), he would only be able to lightly flick the ball/deflect the ball vertically, so it would come down fast and still get into the goal. He would have had to fully stretch out his arm midair (not much resistance), which would mean he could only put so much pressure against the ball. By using his head and the force he created by jumping, he could put more power into the ball and potentially put it over the goal. So i think he made the right choice.

If you're a keeper, you'd choose to use your head (or chest) when saving the ball either because you're out of the box or because your team-mate gave you a bad backpass. That keeper might have deliberately used his head because he felt that he could accurately head it back of the crossbar but I'm not sure if he has a team-mate ready to receive the ball in defence. If not, he's basically just passing it back out to the waiting forward. Personally, I'd tip it over the bar if given the choice.
@tomaskoptik20213 жыл бұрын
As a former goalie I believe it was a bit out of necessity (he was out of pace) a bit out of panick (ball from the team mate) and a bit out of worry the ball will just slow down and will end up in the net anyway. But I am just guessing as the situation is not really clear to me either. We would have to ask him :))) But probably the fact the ball was from the team mate was the major factor...
