Coach Reveal & Story Time: The Bag That Started It All

I was never into the Coach line as I thought they were made for the more mature woman. Then one day I walked into a mall boutique and saw a Mercer satchel bag and I said to myself, they have changed designers and I started to remember some of the bags that I had seen many years ago that did not have a lining which turned me off. So, I guess I became interested in Coach when they changed their design. You were the one who turned me on to the Rogue as I had never noticed them in the stores. Once I saw your videos I was really interested. I found a grey 25 with rivets on-line and bought it after seeing a larger one in the factory store. I just like how well made they are and how they feel when you hold them. Now, I'm interested in the next size up if I can find one in black.

The major design changes within the past several years is what drew many of us to Coach. The Mercer was very nice! So is the grey Rogue 25 with border rivets. I highly recommend the black 31. I have two (1st and 2nd gen, with different colored hardware and interiors), and love them both. Black is classic.

Same here! They still produce great leather, but I definitely prefer the older leather.

My sister introduced me to your channel when Covid started and your enthusiasm sold me on the Rogue. I thought the handles were amazing so I spent the next few days scouring all sorts of used listings because I felt like I had to experience one immediately. I found a listing for the Prairie Rivets Rogue 31 new with tags and snagged it. It definitely did not take long for a collection to develop- watching your videos made me want to try different kinds of Rogues. Now I have 7 of them.

I was late to the Rogue party, but I have two now and am grateful for them. One is the Rogue 25 shoulder bag in black, and the other is a Rogue 25 in blue with rivets (both pebbled leather) . I’ll probably never let them go!

Yasssss Melissa's Purses !! I love her ! Happy to see you got your 1941 Red Coach Rogue back !! I got into Rogues because of Melissa @ Melissa's Purses and you lol . In my earlier days, I had purchased a few Coach bags but after some time was not impressed with their bag designs, they just all seemed to look the same; I like you, am a (was) a big Dooney person (I still own many and still love them) , but COACH last few years is on another level lol !! They sucked me back in with their new designer and the ROGUE !!! I have 2 , an Oxblood with Prairie Rivets (with the 1941 Red suede lined pockets) and I have a Prussian Blue with all that gorgeous whipstitching. I got into the Rogue because of Melissa, also!😄 And, yes, the new designer/designs are what brought many of us to (or back to) Coach. They've been on 🔥 in recent years! Dooney is an amazing brand, also! I still have a couple of Dooneys.

Haha nice! The older Rogues have pebbled backs and newer ones have smooth leather backs, from what I understand.

My first and only Rogue is the black tearose 25 with brass hardware. It is definitely "busy" and not usually my style, but it's so pretty, I couldn't resist. I owned a tearoom several years ago, so it seemed approprate. You had one previously and raved about it, so I'm surprised you sold it. I'm waiting until autumn to use it. Mine did not come with the clochette, which was disappointing. I would love to find a clochette, but Coach says they do not have one to buy separately. I have an adorable Coach vanity case in chalk, which I have used all summer. I recently bought a Coach Dome crossbody during the outlet sale. I bought my first Dooney a few days ago: a small Florentine satchel in natural. It is larger than I anticipated, but it is very pretty. At this point, I'm at my limit as far as bags go. I do so love that 1941 Red Rogue, however (!) I think it was the first Rogue I ever saw on KZbin, and the bag that got me interested in Rogues. I hope to be able to use my bags if we are ever able to go out anywhere again. One thing about bags: they always fit, unlike my clothes since the lockdown.

A tearoom, very cool! Yes, the tea rose Rogue was the perfect choice.😉 I did have one at one time and felt it is STUNNING, but I just can't do all of those tea roses. I let it go because I wanted to create my own customized tea rose bags in "Coach Create" at the flagship boutique here in Dallas. It is quite unfortunate that Coach removed the clochette on the latest Rogues, isn't it?😔 If they offered them separately, they'd make a KILLING! Same with straps. Sounds like you've purchased some incredible bags! Congrats!

I have a rogue in 1941 red (it’s my unicorn) and love her and also have one in dark denim. Got into rogue after watching a couple of ur videos. I like the rogue but currently I love cassie and emery. I have literally sold so many of my MK bags and now have a huge amount of coach bags. Purchased over 10 bags in less than 2 months

The red and dd Rogues are two of the best colors, imo. Cassie and Emery are also incredibly great styles! It sounds like you have quite the collection.

It's very fun to design a Rogue. I've done it a few times and love it. It takes about 6 weeks to be completed. And 1941 red is one of the prettiest colors available.

I got into the Rogue and Coach because of you you helped me fall back into the brand again. My first one was the purple 25 dark fairy tales from FOS. I had no idea it was a harder one at the time to find I was new to FOS and saw it pop on I was so excited 😂 still my favorite because it was my first and a lot of fun getting

Excellent question! Actually, the 1st gen Rogues were produced in late 2015 and debuted in early 2016. All Rogues produced in 2016 and on are 2nd, 3rd, and now 4th gen Rogues without lock and key.
