I think people need to stop thinking of Mr. Fantastic as a DPS but as an Off Tank. I genuinely don’t know why they made him a DPS (other than tricking DPS into playing Tank) as he’s literally just a great OT and all rounder. He can peel amazingly because not only can he quickly reposition with his grab, but it also provides a shield so that the target can survive the dive. He does good midrange “poke” when not inflated that can multi hit, and when inflated, he hits like a truck in close range. Has a pseudo invuln that also counters all CC. And his ult, while the weaker part of his kit, disrupts the enemy team while slowing them significantly. He’s solid and I think people are being too quick to judge him, just like they did with Wolverine.

He's definitely great but greatly relies on other players knowing how to play with him as he has a big push and pull playstyle. The team needs to be aware of what state he's in, and therefore know when to push with or pull back.

In Doom Matches, I've used his LShift to kill countless others using their ult against them. His LShift should be used similiarly to Iron Fist's right-click mechanic.

I like to mix him on the frontline trying to deposition enemy tanks and such and heading back to my backline to protect support from flankers. His dash like ability can help support survive and its hard to fight support as a bp or something with an 800 hp dps harassing you as well

I don't think these tier lists are worthless. Especially for support, it's very useful to know which ones have the highest carry potential, but also, the style of play at the highest level will change with time, too.

These KZbinrs need to stop talking about balance from the perspective of “the highest levels of play”. This is 5% of the player base. People can already carry lobbies through lower levels with Iron Fist, Widow, Spider Man .. make these any stronger and it just gets oppressive. And these levels dont get the benefit of hero bans (for some reason). Every game in Plat last season had Hawk and Hela, which was super annoying to climb through. Bans should start in Plat.

I have to disagree with the take on Jeff’s ultimate here. Although I do agree his ultimate is typically used as a gimmick and a cheese, it’s probably the best ultimate to have when you need to clear a point in overtime. All players on a point either have to leave the point or get swallowed (forcing them off the point). It’s situational, sure. But I’ve won countless matches by doing this. Plus he got a good healing buff. I agree that other support characters are a lot better at a lot of things but he can be very good and he’s basically unlikable lol.

I think you are looking at mr fantastic from the wrong lens. He is quite good in the off tank role. He doesn't compare to groot, strange, or magnito because he isn't the same type of character. I think he more closely resembles thor and hulk, who both contest the off angles, stop the dives, and have their own dive potential. Mr. Fantastic obviously doesn't have quite the same mobility as hulk, but it is pretty comparable to thor. To add to the thor comparison, he is also roughly just as tanky as thor is with all of his bonus health plus his reflector

I have played Peni a lot in this season and she is still strong. There is more to her than just laying spider mine traps. I have been successful with her escorting the vehicle as well as defending. Sure I'd rather defend and hold a choke point position but Peni is a lot more than defense only. She is capable of taking objectives on domination modes too. Of course if the team is weak she'll struggle but what hero doesn't when the team is weak overall. :D

There are few and far between where a single role feels like it's 100% that. If you're using her kit to suppress the right targets and calling shots so your team can focus fire important targets she's phenomenal. And constant damage. I usually top dps with penni purely because I'll keep it coming whIle my duelist find the right shots/off angles.

Mr. Fantastic is really weird to place truly. He dies really fast if caught offguard once his buffed state ends. He feels toned down on release on purpose. He deals basically vanguard levels of damage while having duelist base hp. If they buff his damage he will be too op. He probably should deal more damage considering how "deep" he has to play. He has striking similarities with Thor in the way they work in a comp, except more pokey less divey.

as someone who has gotten lord on mr.fantastic by exclusively one tricking him in diamond rank, i can say that he has brief moments of greatness but is severely held back by the overall jank of his kit. He has insane end lag on cancelling big form and after the ult which gets you killed when you really need to flat stanley (block) key cooldowns. His ult is ok at forcing cooldowns but is weaker than pretty much every dps ult and meta tank ults. The one area he is ok at is peeling with block and extra hp, as well as his displacement, but he is not enough to stop a full dive composition from taking out the backline. his displacement tools are completely ruined by los and shields as it causes the tether to break, and he doesnt immediately gain shield when he hits full elasticity, which gets you killed a lot when you are trying to low hp e to get to 100 elastic, as it takes about a half second to gain the tank mode shields. he does shine in extended brawls / ot clutch ups when its down to 1 to 2 characters per team dueling, but those scenarios are not common and the overall jank of his ability cooldowns don't guarantee that he would get value in those scenarios. also the hidden debuff is that your team is going to flame you and play on tilt for playing him as well in high elo- don't say i didnt warn you

Peni is a bunker tank. She's not goid on taking things as you said but her hold it the best of all the tanks. Other tanks are good for other roles like Cap is a good advancing tank and Dr strange is a good all rounder tank. People just needs to learn their situation and learn their roles

Mr Fantastic excels at peeling for his backline as a passive DPS/off tank, much like Namor's anti dive. However instead of turrets, he bounces to his supports, grants both of them bonus health then drags the diving hero away. His combo also grants himself 100 passive instantly even through shields if he needs to contest or run it down, because his tank form does very good damage.

Spiderman and Iron Fist buffs need to be well thought out. They can easily dominate lower lobbies and any buff could ruin the game for 75% of your player base. Noob Stomp chatacters don't need to be balanced to be viable for the competitive E-sport level of 0.01% of top players.

The black panther nerf imo needed to happen if they touched helas health. You see often and hela was toucher because you need an extended combo or to poke her before engage. Now she is one shottable. I'd say he plays more like a tank and a dps because he is a hybrid. if you're complaining about his range not being long enough its because you aren't playing him correctly, he has literal godmode in multiple different forms, as long as you deal enough damage you are going to be nearly impossible to beat. I get that you probably dont experience mid and low tier gameplay. But in those, people cant aim and counter fast moving dives. A half decent spiderman or ironfist can completely carry in those categories right now. If they received buff the they would decimate the lobbies of 70% of the playerbase even further. There is a fine balancing act that netease has to do to balance the entire playerbase, sure some characters suck in high elo but they are crazy in low or vice versa. If they balance everything for high elo then the game can get significantly worse for the larger playerbase.

Mr. Fantastic is an amazing Backline Defense. Heavy counters Magik, BP, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. He can also assist the tank in the front line if backline is safe

Because the character itself is trash. One needs to be so much better than everyone else in the lobby to get good value out of him. If a player is average at best, then they're most likely gonna struggle. This is why some high elo iron fist players can turn the tides of a match if they swap... because the character is awful and they CAN play characters who bring more value much more easily.

IMO Mr fantastic is broken I’ve had more than a few 40kill games w him. I like that tanky hybrid n low key hes invincible w the right comp. Captain America and Mr. Fantastic goes insane. You can let Reed back shot you and give you shield while your sprinting forwards gaining distance. Then you can just terrorize back lines and soak up damage. Been testing it out and I think Reed can replace venom in terms of damage mitigation and damage they do. I’m not saying it’s the best but the opposing team has to solve this problem first before they can actually advance on point or always be pushing forward

As incredible as it may seem, I feel like Black Widow has become a great hitscam option, but she's much more difficult to play correctly than people think. What I noticed is that the best, and even me, get great results with it playing closer, aggressive, Faze Testy or Metaphor style.

The only problem with this game is how hard it is to buff and nerf characters where everyone is happy. Because for instance, Iron Fist, he’s a character where in a quick play lobby or a low rank lobby which is 99% of the game he’s crazy because the teams are not organized, you don’t have good healers who know what they’re doing, and the accuracy of players is worse and won’t kill him as easily, so for 99% of the game they would want Iron Fist to be nerfed, but for the 1% of players who are in the top ranks of the game Iron fist will get no use because the healers and team organization is so much better and iron fist can’t do damage fast enough before the person he’s trying to kill is fully healed by a high level healer who knows what they’re doing. And this can be applied to so many other characters in the game, which makes the game very annoying at some points because you get into lobbies where an iron fist or a different character wipes a lobby or where the character is just absolutely useless.

Spiderman needs buffs to his uptime. Speed up the charge of his web clusters and swings, lower get over here cooldown, and maybe a slight meele damage buff. I think his problem is that hes out of the fight way too often to be as useful as other dps. GM Lord Spidey btw.

So like… have you actually played Mr. Fantastic? He’s an incredible off tank/damage hero. He has a gap closer with is paired with a shield that he can use twice, it has a low cool down, he has CC with his right click and his ultimate, an invulnerability state and with Invisible Woman he has a pretty massive shield. His overall damage is nasty, in a good way, where you can even move his arm post punch to hit other targets or if they move out of the way.

nah, ive gotten lord on mr.fantastic, but he has so many problematic pain points that make him super weak. he has self inflicted stun on ult and demech which completely ruin any sort of adaptive play with block. his ult is severely low impact and half the time kills you with the end lag on it. He doesnt instantly gain shields at 100 elastic which gets you killed a bunch. he has brief moments of greatness in extended team fights where he can clutch up and outplay with but the overall jankyness of his kit holds him so far back from what he was intended for.

As a Peni main i do agree this is not her season compared to S0. With all the buffs to non flank characters she's going to be less powerful because people are picking other characters more. The number one thing for me tho is probably because of mr fantastic like imagine those places where peni is good and then a mr fantastic just running through your defences with widemode or bigmode, its free real estate. The one time and place you shine and he just doesn't care and that's that, only place you can defend space in that case would be high ground which makes her even more niche. She didn't need a counter pick imo but she got one. Tho in S0 there was definitely a difference in skill between the occasional only on defence Peni and people who one trick her. Got to Diamond 1 playing just Peni and almost never felt like i was dead weight. but don't see the same happening in S1 tbh.

Personally i would change only three things in the game. _ Panther should be given more projectiles option so he can still be a bit more active when waiting for his cooldowns. He relies too much on his abilities and 1 miss leads him to death. _ Spidey has too much to handle. And i blame the swinging system putting together both the swing and the dash movement together. Those two should be separated. _ Widow fire rate should be increased when she hipfires. Two tap before reloading would do it. _ Dps holding weapons such as, B. Widow, Star Lord, Punisher should lower their weapon when after some time they aint shooting. Just like Banner when he isnt. Its just esthetics.

I agree that Iron Fist needs tweaking. But I dont think a straight buff is the way to go. A lot of people like to speak in terms of straight buffs or straight nerfs, but a lot of it is balancing. I think Iron Fist needs a buff to his TTK with a tweak to his overall survivability. Probably something like Black Panther where he gets more survivability for properly landing his combos, and his meditate ability is just a basic heal. But also nerf him by making his combos require more precision to make him a rewarding character for those who learn him. He needs to be able to be played in high ranks while not completely steamrolling lower elos, like Hela and Hawkeye have been doing. There are millions of players who arent trying to get to grandmaster, or who cannot get to grandmaster, who also need to be able to enjoy the game for the game to survive. I also absolutely believe they need to work on a better ban system and implement it across all of ranked.

Honestly I think Mr fantastic could be really strong in a goats style 2-2-2 with a storm as second dps. I’ve been playing him the same way I would Thor (diving the supports) and it has been fairly consistent.

I don't think Iron Fist and Spider-Man need big buffs, they do well where they are supposed to do well: casual play in lower elos. They are noob stompers and they are stomping noobs in bronze to gold. It makes sense that higher elos can actually counter them. You make that worse and the majority might suffer, let's not fall into the trappings of only looking at the how the top 10% plays for balancing.

Your Hawkeye analysis is wrong. Dive doesn't work against Hawkeye. Hawkeye's crescent slash hits at 180 angle and knocks all enemies 15m away. Coupled with his Skyward Leap Hawkeye at any given time can and will make a 30 meter gap from all threats. This is the largest space making combo in basically any hero shooter. It requires you to do a 2-hero coordinated staggered dive strat just to deal with one hero. Hawkeye is actually OVERKITTED relative to other ranged heroes. Blackwidow has less than half his abilities. Hawkeye just overshadows his own busted kit with his busted primary fire.

As an old fart with a bow personality quirk I gotta say hawkeye's not very viable for low level play anymore. Maybe pros with autism bordering information processing can squeeze something out of him, but for me and the rest of the early stage Parkinsons crowd if we want to snipe, we are better off with Black Widow. While I can acknowledge my personal bias here, I also have to say balancing around pro play has never done any game favours in the long run (well maybe LoL but I have a feeling they are losing players as well lately)

I wish Mr fantastic was better, I think if they made his big mode a cooldown instead of a passive mechanic it would be better, like torb from ow. Also his shield jump could've been a basic movement skill but they gave it terrible range and requires a target to even use. His damage is fine, but he needs more mobility because he just gets stuck somewhere and targetted hard bc his big hitbox

Mr fantastic is best used as a half tank half dps do to his versatility. He can’t hit multiple people with his standard attack and with each hit it charges his gear 4 state 🤣. Then he goes off with immense strength like the hulk. He def aids in slight shield boosts as well. I think if you use him correctly he can be busted but if the other team also has a good one and have better overall players it’s hard to do much

Competitive as a solo is pointless. Loading is horrendous. Matches start while people are stuck at 99% loading. Cheaters. The matchmaking system doesn't work. My friends and I have been trying to play the game for two days and finally gave up. We'll try again in a couple months.

Strange being the best tank in the game feels off to me. He literrally cant do anything when he faces a melee tank. Spidey and Black panther are to me, the worst dps in the game.
