Great tips coach, as always! The problem with heavy punchers is they only have to be good once, and you only have to mess up once for it to be over. Look at Wilder v Ortiz 2. My man Luis was doing real good, landing and slipping, until Deontay finally managed to land that big right and catapult every drop of sweat off of his cranium

This "how to fight..." series is great. All tips are sensible, realistic and practical. And you perfectly explain the hows and the whys. And watching Eddie putting in motion those explanations is simply a luxury gift. I'm a fan for many years now, and it seems that I will continue for a long time. Keep doing that good! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you and to the entire boxing brotherhood.

back at school the emphasis was that landing 'scoring shots' was sufficient...in a way trying for the ko was regarded as a bit brutal and not the done thing (the solar plexus was a legitimate target though)...things have changed a bit I think over time and maybe through the media...I have noticed that today's training does maybe turn out 'headhunters'?

Great video. Though my own style is more about power punching(I do Muay thai instead of Boxing though), I use short hard combos; but I like seeing ways to beat this style too, and how others guys see it. Like you said though a great way to hit someone faster than you is to time it so you block most or all of their hits and put yourself in a situation where you can trade shots with them. Or just time it well that works best of all and you don't take damage yourself that way.
