This that ring generalship. You can throw with em all but positioning is so key. Man thank you coach this is GREAT. Boxing is a nuanced sport. "This is what makes you a Pugilist"

TheInnerG not that I’m the coach, but what I would suggest is stepping in when ducking. As you duck the opponents shot, take a step forward. From there you could either combo w a jab/straight or roll (maybe if opponent throws his straight again) and go to the left hook. Footwork gets you everywhere you want imo
@abr312414 жыл бұрын
Head movement, stepping in. That is all

Ty for the vids! Excellent instructionals! Just joined a boxing gym out of FL and my coach thinks I have what it takes to be a world champ, probably just stroking my ego for the money,but it's just bc I practiced what you and few other you tubers taught me (that and I am an Olympic level athlete from climbing). My only martial arts training is from wrestling and the kicks my dad (TKD black belt) taught me. But the encouragement and compliments give me much needed confidence and it's thanks to you! Any info you have on fighting from an open stance would be greatly appreciated as I favor southpaw due to the body kicks to head kick but I'm not confident in my hands so that's why I joined boxing gym. Thank you again for all your tips and advice! If it helps my favorite strikes are body jab, jab, left straight to the body ( scared of committing to the shovel hook but sometimes I get away with it) left straight and right hook in that order.

Great video! I like that concept. As far as the trap, you could still step to your right with the back foot or the right foot in this case and as soon as your opponent springs the trap you just pivot to your left the way the fighter did when he threw the check hook. Rigondeaux does this all the time.
