Do they check ID's when you are driving into the car campsite? Going with my sister who is 16 and I am not a legal guardian. We won't have any alc, etc so hopefully they don't mind? Any tips appreciated!

I’ve never had my ID checked even with alcohol, so I’d imagine if you are not bringing alcohol at all that you’ll be fine. But you never know! It always depends on which security guard you get.

Sorry this is so late! I used the O2 10in battery powered fan. I got it at Walmart :) Lifesaver! Food wise, will you be bringing a stove? I love bringing bagels w/cream cheese, food to make breakfast burritos, hot dogs for dinner, and that's pretty much it other than snack type food.

Never been to Coachella and I’m going weekend 1 car camping. I have a tent but it’s very large, and I don’t have a canopy. I’m going to be camping alone, what should I do as far as sleep? Would I be okay sleeping in my car? Also, do they allow the non-aerosol sunscreen? I don’t have a portable shower either… I might have to get a canopy at least 😅

I HIGHLY suggest getting a straight-leg canopy at least. It gets hot fast in the day and since the festival doesn't open until noon, you'll be spending a lot of time at camp. I usually don't go in until 2 or 3 and even then, it's nice to come back to camp to rest before the night. And at that time it's really hot as well. The tent is great, but it quickly becomes a sauna lol even with a canopy! A canopy makes a world of difference in my opinion. I've never slept in my car before, but I know several people prefer to do that. Just bring sheets or some sort of cover to cover the windows from the heat. You can also bring non-aerosol sunscreen. A portable shower is totally not necessary, I just like the convenience of it :)

There won’t be any for rent, but you can purchase them there. They’ll just be pretty expensive :/

First time going car camping to Coachella this year! For the shower bag, did you also have a shower tent to hang it on? and does the ground get super wet and spread to other sites?

So exciting! I did not have a shower tent for it, but some people like to bring one. I just put it on top of my car, let it warm up a little bit, and then use it. Kind of an awkward angle if you have a shorter car, however I prefer it over the showers still lol. And it’ll be wet only in your space, but it’ll usually dry pretty quickly :)

I know a lot of people that like to do this. I think cracking and covering the windows so the sunlight doesn't beat you down in the morning would work out just fine. It does get pretty hot at 8am in a tent or vehicle. Maybe bring a tent just in case? See what you prefer after the first night.

Alexis Cantu Hello! There aren’t outlets throughout the campsite unfortunately. I’ve only seen the one stand with a ton of outlets and a tent with outlets both in the camping activity area. You’ll definitely be better off bringing multiple portable chargers.

Lesly Salgado Hello! I use queen size sheets to hang from my canopy. Someone mentioned using camo netting instead so there’s a better breeze. As far as walking goes, it depends on what lot you end up in. If you’re in lot 8, it could be 30 seconds-5 minutes. Lot 4, 7, and 10 could be 10-25 minute walk. What time do you plan on driving in?

Karla Mejia-Miranda, it’s honestly hit or miss. I’ve had some security glance in my trunk and pass me through and I’ve had some take out all of my stuff to look through EVERYTHING. It just depends. They’ll switch lines sometimes too so it’s difficult to look ahead.

hornets06 Some people have a tent for it, but I just wear a swimsuit. The water will just be on the grass. It dries really quickly because of the heat. I put a mat down too because my car is kinda short so I have to put my knees down lol.

Oh gotcha! By weekend two that grass is begging for water. Also regarding the wall shade, last year I bought some Camo netting and it was amazing. Blocks the sun but let’s the air/breeze go through.

If you have 2 camping spots but only are taking 1 car, are you allowed to use the whole second lot for 2 canopies and/or tents or do you need there to be a car

Jack Patterson You HAVE to use a car for each spot. It doesn’t matter if you have a second pass. If you don’t have a car for the spot, you can’t use it.

Ten Ten Yes! Bring as much as you’d like. If you’re bringing alcohol, you can bring one case of beer per person (21+) and no glass bottles.

alex garcilazo I’ve never been asked for mine but they do say you need to be 18+ to camp. I feel like if you look over 18, they’ll let you in without checking, but I’m not positive :/

Aris Flowers Mine was about 8x10 or 9x10. A 14x10 would probably fit but you will have absolutely no room left in your spot to hang out in. I’d get something smaller if possible. Remember, your spot is 10x30ft and part of that is your vehicle.

Jenny Calderon I believe it’s an 8x10 or 9x10. It fits in the spot just fine and there’s plenty of room inside, but it leaves little room for hanging out in your spot.
