The coaching while muted is actually great from a viewer perspective. I've been playing my first ranked season ever learning with the videos. Watching Ludwig do low elo things that I would do, and having Perry commenting on it without corse Correcting Lud helps me see exactly where I'm messing up.

Yeah, one good thing they might want to do too if they haven't thought of it yet, is to have Ludwig act without Perry's interference and explain why he's doing what he's doing. Then have Perry correct him on the spot explaining why his play is better, instead of just telling him what to do from the beginning. This would probably help him (and viewers too) immensely since it cements it more and compares both strategies on the fly. He should also be questioning Perry's calls a LOT more, instead of just blindly following them. When Perry says x, just ask why doing y (or whatever Lud was originally going to do) isn't better. This is legitimately the tried and true way to maximize learning and improvement. It quizzes yourself and it helps a ton with retention and actually adopting it into one's playstyle so hoping they do more of that in the final stretch

I love this muted meta. It's a good way for you to stress poor descisions in real-time. Often I find a lot of coaches will fall for hindsight bias in replay review, or in a live coaching match. Being able to see someone making a poor decision, calling it out, and watching it go poorly is great learning material.

4:30 also interesting abt this game. lud’s team is down 1 kill and 2 dragons but up 1 turret and ever role is ahead in cs and bc of that they’re ahead like 5k in gold. i feel like that sort of thing is rlly valuable to keep in mind especially bc mental is so important. they’re already winning even tho the obvious stats might make it seem like theyre behind if u dont know what to look for
@ArkanMatlub03Күн бұрын
Ludwigs reasoning for wanting you to mute first 10 min is actually great: He wants the autenthic early game then improve midgame. Actually good idea
@SupremeKeyboardWarrior2 күн бұрын
The reason Lud is struggling with land ganks is because he doesn't play lanes to visualize the Fog of War vision. He needs to play 5 games on each lane.

@@joevent it is smite (and maybe cleanse and/or ignite) specific. You definitely can't flash while stunned or silenced.

@@joevent Most summoner spells can be used during most types of cc. Flash and TP are the only ones that are disabled by most cc's.

Naafiri is not the dog but the dagger that took possession of it, the dagger itself was a woman before being sealed in it (I think she was a corrupted goddess or something like that and those were called Darkin). In the same way Aatrox is not the demon but the blade the demon is holding.

I really want him to continue to think about the wave progress when playing normally, he slowly is learning the things that you are teaching him but yeah he needs some small fixes like when he’s in late game… one mistake that he makes continuously makes is when it comes to pushing waves in and getting inhibitor he tends to get caught because he leaves by going through the jungle, while he could easily just leave down the lane he came in from

Hi Perry i have watched u for some time now. But i am having a hard time to pick a one trick champ, do u have any recommendations?
@Thomas-eo3dy23 сағат бұрын
If you want to one-trick going for a squishy can be tricky in some comps that have no proper tank to take some of the CC. Goin kindred I often find myself just outplayed by enemy comps if there's no tank on mine to catch some CCs. It helps me play more careful though, which is why Gwen players e.g. recommend against building tanky items, because it's just "training wheels" that feel nice in the beginning, but ultimately hinder your learning after some point. So anything goes, but hard squishies can be a bit difficult.

Please fix his movement watching him still walk in circles and constantly back stepping like an iron player hurts so much - I know he’s like just learned the art of back stepping in general but you didn’t teach him AT ALL why it’s so important to backstep and exactly WHAT he’s backstepping. Maybe it’s just impossible for me to understand the perspective of not knowing every range of every champion

Sigh.... I hate admitting I found value out of this video. I've been following the fundamentals too rigidly and missing the forest for the trees. I've been struggling to close games after a solid early game, and it's because I do dumb crap like Ludwig. No offense.
@emptywhy2 күн бұрын
If you can change your mentality from hating admitting those things to desperately searching them out and exposing them, that's where the huge improvement lies. Everyone's crap looks dumb in hindsight, there's going to be a lot of 'dumb crap' in the majority of players games, maybe not as obvious as in ludwigs games, but it's still there nonetheless, lots of value to be had from reviewing your games for that reason. For instance, if you know you're struggling to close games you can work your way backwards in the vod and ask yourself did this decision help or hurt my chances to end this game, or was there a better more optimal decision I could have made, sounds super simplistic, but it's going to lead to making better decisions in the long run and perhaps noticing trends in your gameplay that are holding you back. People who typically avoid recognizing their mistakes because mistakes are bad could benefit from reframing it to making mistakes is good so long as you learn from those mistakes.
