You should come to Oulu for some great odr. In Oulu we have like 4 or 5 odr "centers" which have like 2 rinks each and open skating area. Zamboni runs the ice like every 2 hours and whe also have warmed locker rooms. Then we also dozens of smaller odr rinks all over the city. Long winters and these types of odr possibilities make a lot of great players like Sebastian Aho and Pekka Rinne :)

@@21cup theres been outdoor public rinks during winter sometimes made using the type of stuff you’d see in ana nhl winter classic game or something but on a much smaller scale and they usually arent built for hockey

The best outdoor ice is the one your skating on. Here in RI USA - it's not often and getting fewer. Black glass (rare) or frozen slushed over snow (common), cracks that swallow players, bumpy and rough, in the open sky day or night(helmet lights, glow stick outlined goals and LED puck) . It doesn't get any better.

I live in NJ. It doesn’t always get cold enough to have the ponds freeze, which are the only ODR spots we have in my town. We only have a few, so they get full of people. And it rarely ever gets cold enough. I would love to move up to Canada to be part of the hockey culture

Outdoor hockey rinks are the best, but what's up with the nobody at any of the ri ks, there's not that much snow. I live in Montréal and people still play, they just shovel the snow or the city comes by every few hours to clear the rinks !!
