Which kind of fabric did you use for the skin-colored and the flower parts? It looks so pretty, I love the color scheme!

Thanks! I was going for a rainforest theme, within the colors that the skater liked. The fabric is a 4 way stretch nylon mesh. Thank you! I actually taught myself! When I was a teenager and had to pay for everything myself, I couldn't afford the expensive custom dresses, but I knew how to sew. So I started making my own dresses, they have gotten a lot better since then. lol.

Yes, the elastic around the leg hole will keep the dress from sliding up.

Just saw this! For me, I sew very fast so I can usually get one done in a week, but that is unusual. Most of the time you can expect that ordering a custom dress will need a few months lead time before your event n

Hi could you tell me what size of rigstones did you use? I think that there are diffrent one but I'm not sure what size should I buy, it would be easier to decide if you tell something about it. Thks

I usually use 20s, I accent with larger stones like 30s or 34s.

The purple is a 4 way stretch Miliskin Matte Tricot from Soandex house. www.spandexhouse.com/solid-colorsnylon/milliskin-matte-tricot-four-way-st/ Rhinestones are Swarovski and I get them wholesale from www.rhinestonesu.com but there are a lot of other places to get them. If you haven’t applied stones before then be sure to check out my video about how to apply stones! 🙂

@@CoachJulia Great video. I am adept in sewing, so even without explanation, I understood what you were doing. I didn't see if you used a patern before cutting the fabric. If you used a pattern, maybe in your next video, start from the pattern? Thanks for providing the link to the Spandex house. ThriveDiaries they don’t sell that brand, nor a fabric that is 80% nylon 20% spandex. Is lycra or bathing suit fabric similar? Or what would you recommend?
