I was a 3-3 stack guy for a long time. Switched over to a 4-2-5 a few years ago, but I’m getting very interested in the 3-4 tite front/mint. Feels like it would give me the best of both 3-3 and 4-2-5. Nothing changes on the back end, which is huge! Keep up the great work coach!!

Great video Coach. One question - how would you guys handle empty now that you’re running with a true Sam instead of a 5th DB?

Do you think it’s possible to do this running mostly 1-Hi coverages? Our HC/DC loves spot drop Cover 3 but it feels like when we flip from our 4 down to our 3 down stuff, it feels sometimes like a totally different defense in terms of fits. Just trying to learn more as a 24-year old LB’s coach. Appreciate all the educational videos Coach!

How do you handle your coverages when sending 5? Cover 3, and or man free, or both? Sending 6, man, peel cover 1, and or a zone coverage? Do you carry 2, or 3 on each?

Yes, we drop the jack if we don’t like the matchup on the X
