@torisnobess9012 In Frano Interview without Coaching his words there are young females in his camp who are much faster than Sloley… He was mostly emphasizing on her set back dew to her education where she’s lacking a very important part of her practice which is weight lifting that gives her power to go faster.. Everything about Sloley is geared more towards the future.. Without the weight lifting part of training now might not allow her to go her full potential..

Trials is not a pinpoint. Usain lose 2012. 2015 Gatlin was favourite and he lose. Final is Olympics where even the fastest and the favourite can lose. On that be we know. Never say never. 2021 Elaine ran 10.83. Olympics she ran 10.61. Olympic record. 2023 Shericka ran 10.65. Did we thought she was going to come second. Final day is the funeral where who suppose to bury will bury and rise again for the next Championship.

Good breakdown, Coach. Here are my thoughts: As much as I love my Jamaican women, I have to be realistic. First of all, this is Sha'Carri's year. Everybody else is running for 2nd and 3rd place. The other Americans are tough this year ( Melissa Long, Melissa Jefferson, Aaliyah Hobbs) and they've run solid times consistently this season. Meanwhile, with some of these times we've been seeing, it just feels like Shelly & Shericka are a bit behind where they should be at this point. Yes, people will say they're just making sure to peak at the right time, but I'm not sure either of them will be in the 10.7 shape needed to get a medal in Paris. Krystal Sloley is very promising for the future, but I cant see her being a serious medal contender in 2024. Briana Williams has been a bit of a disappointment, and people can finally see now it was never Ato Boldon's fault (since people were claiming that Ato was holding her back). With Julien Alfred still a factor, as well as Marie Josee Ta Lou, we might actually be facing a year when no Jamaican woman gets on the podium in the 100m. 🤦‍♂ I expect Sherika to medal in the 200, but I'm not even sure it'll be gold. And I do expect Jamaica to get silver in the 4x1 relay. Yes, I know this all sounds a bit pessimistic, and some will say "don't be so negative", but that's just how I see it overall. 2024 just feels like it's setting up to be a down year for Jamaican athletics, especially on the women's side.🤷‍♂

So yes, my expectations are low right now, but I think there's good reason for that. The fastest 100m time by a Jamaican woman this year is Brianna Lyston at 10.91 (and she's not even going to be at Trials). Next fastest is Sloley at 10.99. When have we ever seen that in any season... where we're going into National Trials in late June and only ONE of the women participating has a sub-11 time? It's been a long while. So I think there's legitimate reason to be concerned. 🤔 I would very much love to be wrong about this, but if I were to say things are looking good right now I would feel like I was lying to myself. But anyway, time will tell... so we'll see what happens. Peace.
