I really appreciate this video. There’s so many points where I personally would have beat myself up and completely fell off, but Lucy analyzed, adjusted as needed and KEPT GOING! Very inspiring and it looks way more doable than beating myself up. THANK YOU! PS Congrats on your wedding, Lucy!

Thank you for these very practical and helpful tips! I deal with chronic pain and am often unable to exercise. It is wonderful to be reminded that I can still make and meet fat loss goals with just the modification of my eating habits.

I lost my weight by saving snacks and sweets for weekends only. I didn’t eat diet meals and I just counted on my body to take what it needed from the snack bar that was around my waist, hips, and thighs. But I ate rather predictable portions of macros..

I want to thank you for your videos. I watched a bunch of them now. At first I thought you were just trying to sell something but that is not the case. Of course you are not sharing ALL your resources but enough to make it even without buying anything. This video especially is so helpful to see your tips in action.

I have just had surgery, I was meant to lose weight for the summer but now I cant exercise without pain. I'm going to try these tips to see if they help me to lose weight! Height: 5"4. Weight: 71.8kg. Date: 07/06/22 Update 01/07/22: I gained weight 🙆🏾♀️🤷🏿♀️ I just couldnt reduce my food, I think the boredom of my current living situation got to me. I feel better though, because I increased my physical activity with gentle walking and more housechores, so I feel better in terms of health. I reduced the junk food a bit and I feel a lot less tired and bloated which is good.

A trainer once told me there is no such thing as a plateau. If for some reason, u stopped eating completely one day you WILL lose weight. Your body won’t just stay at that weight. Obviously that’s not the move but it did change my thinking about plateaus. Referring periods make sense to me and then back into deficit. I’m gonna try this.

Congratulations on the wedding! ❤ Can I please ask, how do you know if you're losing fat or muscle?
@tracymoss7210 Жыл бұрын
I can tell by using a scale that measures fat, lean mass, and water weight. It connects to an app on my phone. I've heard they're not perfectly accurate but you can see trends. Also by measuring waist size you can see if you're losing fat. If your weight is going down but your waist is staying the same it's likely you're losing muscle (or water weight).

Everything isn’t about weight loss, or shouldn’t be. Exercise is important whether you’re trying to lose weight or not. I lost about 40 pounds over a period of time without exercise but I’m sorry now! It’s just a good habit to have for general vitality and longevity.

As someone with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, MAST cell and hitting menopause along with slew of other crappy things this year like my house flooding twice etc- I never get a good sleep or hit that REM sleep so my system never repairs itself or it takes so long- I just gave up for a while because there were too many things working against me- but I want to lose my weight (50 pds) and I’m just wondering if there’s hope for people like me- I don’t have several more years to figure this out- you guys are amazing with your mix of data, common sense and the human side of things- I want to know what my target calories would be if I’m not doing a lot of activity and how to add muscle when I’ve got a delicate system. Sure there are many like me out there.
@katarh2 жыл бұрын
There is hope. I have what I thought was fibromyalgia (turns out it's probably EDS, still waiting for confirmation on that) and still managed to lose a hundred pounds using similar tactics to what is described in this video. Resistance bands are a great way to start adding a little bit of resistance training without going too hard. I found them a lot easier and a lot more forgiving than free weights or bars or machines at the gym. You can get a starter kit of them for around $10 or basic loop bands (I actually got mine for free as a prize from a fair from a health clinic!) or $30-40 for a home gym kit. Theraband for physical therapy also makes some great color coded bands to ease into light resistance training. Doesn't take a lot to maintain what you have while you're losing.
@silvergirl78102 жыл бұрын
@@katarh thanks- did you do high reps? Or just start with what you could do and add on? Just wondering
@katarh2 жыл бұрын
@@silvergirl7810 I started easy weight /low resistance bands, moderate reps (10-15 at low weight) for sets of 4, then as I was able to increase weight or resistance for certain exercises, I went to lower reps. I even have a "heavy weight" band now that I can do for sets of 3 on certain leg exercises.

Please, next time try to dissipate the confusion about not exercising but doing movement. You can lose weight by combining movement ( walking, gardening, house cleaning) and diet. Exercising means going to the gym.And also, the girl in the video was doing some kind of exercising.😎

I'm sorry but thin girl gets thinner? What the hell? She wasn't even fat. Weight fluctuates during the day by 3 to 5 pounds. This is so triggering my ED. You are NOT fat and you never were fat. You thinking you are helping but you are only pushing people who don't need to lose weight to think they do and adding to the problem of ED.
@semmons1232 жыл бұрын
She didn't say she was fat when she started. As she's one of the coaches of Coach Viva, she was just demonstrating a way of losing fat without exercise, which may be helpful for those unable to exercise for whatever reason. Sorry you found that upsetting.

Why does a slim person want to lose weight in first place!?!??? That is so unhealthy!
@annawong1305Ай бұрын
She ain't thin, she's a normal healthy weight for her ethnicity. East Asians bmi should range between 18 to 23 as they carry more visceral fat which if over 23, increases chances of poor health. My bmi is 24-25 and I'm defo overweight with a big waist, and I look and feel it too, so this video helps me.
