Coal Mine Canyon Arizona in 4K UHD

Coal Mine Canyon is a series of deep canyons and ravines located on the border between the Hopi and Navajo Reservations in north central Arizona. It contains red, yellow, white and brown siltstone and sandstone which provide amazing rings of contrasting color. It is part of several canyons and tributaries of the Moenkopi Wash which eventually flow into the Little Colorado River at Cameron. Our crew ventured there near sunset, just after thunderstorms had rolled through, creating dark clouds and a rainbow in several of the shots. Well worth the visit.

I'm 72 and from the FingerLakes, NYS. Was So Blessed to Visit AZ for 1st and Probably, Only time🥺, last Year for, as it turned out, 5 months. ~In Show Low💝... Love it there. Wish I could've stayed. The person that was going to show me SOOO Much of AZ, didn't😕. Thank God for videos from Folks like You.

Please do not let people know locations of special places, especially on Native American Reservations. People only destroy and trash them. Tourists have torn up native ruins all over Arizona and wrote graffiti. Let others discover them on their own. It's okay to share pics or video. Just respect the privacy of the people and protect the land.

Thank you for your comments. Sorry for the delay in responding, but I do not always pay as close attention to my channel comments as I should. I couldn’t agree more regarding your concerns. Many of those out there unfortunately do not respect the environment as you or I do and they make it bad for those who do. As to locations of my videos, for that very reason, I never post exact descriptions on how to get there, just very general descriptions. On the other hand, if you do your homework, you can likely get close to locating where I shot the footage. With respect to this Canyon, it’s not an easy one to find - that’s probably why there was no one there when I filmed it.
