A few years too late on those waive-able requests for me. Back when I tried to enlist, my recruiter wouldn’t even send me to MEPS.

By the time I learned about the coast guard it was too late for me. I'm an old geezer now 32 lol So looks like its the National Guard for me. Wish I could get in USCG though.

You can join the Coast Guard Reserves. Unless you are really indecisive, you have 9 years before its too late.

However, you are too old for active duty and the standard 8 week basic training. You will go to D.E.P.O.T. www.forcecom.uscg.mil/Our-Organization/FORCECOM-UNITS/TraCen-Cape-May/Training/Depot/

Can I ask anyone here about being a Prior Service attempt enlistment?I want to join the US Coast Guards, but still not sure, if I have a skin rash condition, but it's not extremely life threatening, but could I get a waiver or join in any other ways?
