Part of that ride runs near where i live , i walk along it as havent a bike at the moment , early on in the vid you go past the remains of Yeathouse train station , then your heading towards Winder station past the metal lined bridge . :)

Thanks, I've had to google Yeathouse station to see where it was. I thought the platform we passed at 2:13 was Frizzington station. There were a lot of abandoned platforms along the whole ride and I didn't know any of them. I'm from Stockton-on-Tees where the Stockton and Darlington railway ran the first ever passenger railway service in the world in 1825. Not really anything left of that now, only the original ticket office still stands with a plaque commemorating where the first ever piece of track was laid.

Absolutely brilliant. Well done chaps. How did you fix the shoe/cleat issue? Did Gary have to make a bike ship run or did you have spares? Loved it btw and great cause!

Thanks, glad you liked it. No didn't have spares! My pedals had cleat clips on one side and a normal flat pedal on the other side, so I just carried on with a hole in my shoe using the flat side of the pedal. Luckily it was dry so no rainwater in my shoe! It meant the hills on day 2 were tough though only using one cleat!
