In this third Coastal Connections online workshop, we discover how initiatives for engaging with communities are making a difference to the stewardship of coastal heritage sites around the world. We will hear from those leading the Youth Heritage Africa (Kenya) and Rejuvenate (UK) programmes, amongst others. Our speakers include Francesca Churchill-Zerilli (Bude-Stratton Town Council), Mark Harrison (Timescapes Kent), Espéra Donouvossi (ICCROM), Mohammed Mwenje (Lamu Museums Sites and Monuments) and Paul Vitty (Rejuvenate, Historic England).
Coastal Connections is a joint initiative between World Monuments Fund and English Heritage to facilitate knowledge exchange and best practice amongst site managers, communities and those who care for coastal heritage sites worldwide. Our series of workshops draws on case studies and real-world experience to offer new perspectives, broaden understanding and explore practical solutions for improving the sustainable management of coastal heritage sites.
