Mark, this is a beautiful video. I’m a US Navy brat that grew up from Maine down to Florida following my father’s navel submarine career, so we spent a lot of time at the beach. You gave me my memories in your video, so thank you.

Seen hundreds of Gobies in the shallow water up on the Isle of Tiree last weekend was great, very wide almost perfectly flat beaches so not a lot of rocks but still very beautiful though! Great video, looked like you had a cracking day out!

Lovely watching the beautiful scenery n lil critters hiding out Mark. I really don’t think there’s as much here in local Perth beaches as you seem to find. I’ve never seen a start fish of any sort and I’m not sure if we have lilg gobies n Blenies? Maybe we do n I’m just not in right place. Mind you it’s been years n years since iv been amongst the rock pools searching. I remember when I was a youngster maybe 12 I was fiddling around in a rock pool and saw a wee tiny crab scoot under a ledge. I stuck my fingers under to encourage out and touched something soft. Then appears this really small lil octopus with pretty blue marking…yes, i blue ringed octopus. I’m lucky it didn’t get me.

Loving these videos of your local tanks. Just wondering, have you ever done a video on your phytoplankton culture? I had a look but couldn’t find one. Is it possible to get one started using just sea water without buying a bottle of culture to seed it?
