Our trip to Patar Beach in Bolinao, Pangasinan, was a memorable family adventure filled with excitement, scenic views, and a bit of a road trip challenge. We set off from our home in Nueva Vizcaya and began our journey on the Nueva Vizcaya-Pangasinan Road, heading towards our much-anticipated beach destination.
The road trip was a blend of smooth highways, winding mountain roads, and lush landscapes. We left early in the morning to make the most of the day, and after a few hours on the road, we passed through Malico, a charming town in Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya. As we drove through this area, we were surrounded by cool mountain air and thick forests, with occasional glimpses of villages nestled in the valleys below. The cool breeze and the green scenery were a refreshing change from the usual urban hustle.
As we continued down the Nueva Vizcaya-Pangasinan Road, the road became more rugged in some parts, particularly near the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains. We had to navigate through some steep, winding sections, which made the trip feel like an adventure in itself. The drive took about 6 hours in total, as we made a few stops along the way to stretch our legs and take in the views. The road was scenic, especially as we entered Pangasinan, where the landscape shifted to more open fields and rolling hills.
Though the trip took longer than expected, the 6-hour journey felt like a bonding experience in itself. The long drive gave us plenty of time to share stories, play games, and enjoy the scenic beauty around us. It was a reminder that sometimes the journey is just as special as the destination, and this road trip to Patar Beach in Bolinao, Pangasinan became a cherished part of our family vacation.
