Mako MASSIVELY FREAKED me out both times I rode it! It has SUCH a minimal restraint system that I just was terrified the entire time both rides that I was gonna fly out of the seat and die! I NEVER had that reaction on Any other coaster!

Atlantis reminded me of Escape from Pompeii in BG Williamsburg which makes sense because I think they are sister parks. However when I thought it was done after the first drop you still had a coaster section and a second drop. Loved the Wee! on Icebreaker - too funny! And between your hair and the "Holy Crap" I don't think Manta is for me, LOL

I'd easily handle this challenge. I rode 14 coasters in 6 hours at Magic Mountain once, and loved it! I'm a huge fan of Disney, Universal, coasters, and haunts, and love seeing you cover them all. Not everyone is passionate for this many park experiences

At the risk of being redundant, I really miss the original, scary storyline of Atlantis. And I totally agree with your assessment of Mako. I like Kraken and Manta too, but their inversions can be too much at times. Mako has pure thrills without going upside down and sideways.

Yes I’d say Mako is much smoother and easier ride! Manta is fun and a lot of ppl love it, but it can be a struggle for many hanging there like that.

Looks amazing! Can't wait to visit in August from across the pond - our first time in Florida. Manta looks similar to Galactica at Alton Towers in the UK. One of my very favourite rides! (second only to Swarm at Thorpe). Thanks for the great videos!

Wow I think the last time I visited Seaworld Orlando was when I lived there as a kid! I think I am due for a visit it looks like fun! Have y’all ever considered visiting SeaWorld San Antonio? We don’t have as many roller coasters as Orlando but my favorite out of the ones we do have are the Wave Breaker and our newest the Texas Stingray! They just opened a huge swing ride but I am hoping they bring even more thriller coasters!

Haven't been to see world since I was around 10 and I am soon going to be 23 so a lot has changed since then. I would love to do Mako and the other rides you did but I have never done a coaster that extreme like Ice Breaker or Manta. I usually skip kiddie coaster as I'm not a big credit counter, but I would do that challenge twice in one day if I could. I often ride most coasters in a park in one day. I pretty much only ride coasters when I go to parks. On most trips day one is ride all coasters mode , then day 2 is reride the ones we liked as many times as we please( often waiting in extra cues for both front and back seats). I completely understand not being too excited about the flying position it can get uncomfortable real quick. Looks like you guys had great time tho. I do enjoy seeing all the parks you guys go.

That sounds like Sam haha! When we visit some of the bigger coaster parks, riding 6 in a day seems a small amount when some of those parks have up to 10-16 coasters, but usually about 6 in a day is my limit. I love coasters but I also love dark rides, kiddie coasters, and a mix of rides. Over 6 and I start to get woozy haha!

I think Kraken is more intense than Mako. I love them both. Mako is more of the smooth speed and airtime type and Krakon is more the power type like you can really feel the power of the ride.

Look for the GoPro wrist strap, it should come w the hand thing too. I see it on the website and on Amazon. Bought it years ago but looks like it’s still there and it’s worked great for all the coasters I’ve ridden that allow filming!

Why is Atlantis the only water coaster ride in FL? What is Splash Mountain considered then?

Splash mountain is a log flume. Jurassic park river adventure is a dark ride/boat ride/shoot the chute ride. Neither have a “coaster” component the way Atlantis does that second half of the ride. I always thought Atlantis was a flume too tbh but SeaWorld classes is as a coaster and the second part of the ride is a coaster on a coaster track. 🎢 💦 It’s actually pretty unique I think, mixing different types of rides!

I really enjoyed the ride part of Manta, but in the beginning after they flipped us over there was a delay f several minutes for some reason, so we were just hanging there and most all of our weight was pressing down on that chest strap, it actually got hard to breath comfortably. Once the ride started it was fine, but then after there was another delay as we had to wait for a couple minutes again because a car in the loading area had an issue and we had to hang there again. While I enjoyed the ride, the delays were really uncomfortable so I never road it again. Loved Kraken! Ice Breaker was still being built the last time I was there.

Oh my goodness, that would be so terrifying! I'm so sorry that happened, that would put me off ever getting on again I can totally understand that. That feeling you described is how it feels to be hanging there waiting after Manta ends before you unload, I don't like it at all!

I’d recommend the Sesame Street land rides, also the penguin ride once it reopened (if it ever does), and maybe Infinity Falls and Journey to Atlantis if you don’t mind getting wet!

Definitely Busch Gardens has more coasters, but this is the most in one park in Orlando at least. I love both parks, they just have such a different feel.

Hi Jackie and Sam, have loved watching your videos since we got back from florida in 2018, quick question though? You mention that journey to Atlantis is the only water coaster ride, what differentiates it from say the jurassic world boat ride at universal IOA which looks very similar format?

Jurassic Park River Adventure is a boat ride (a “shoot the chute” dark ride/boat ride), Splash Mountain is a log flume. Neither have a coaster park like the second part of Atlantis is. Even tho river adventure does have a drop and is super fun, I wouldn’t say it could be classified as a coaster. I’m always learning too and I’m open to learning new things, this is my understanding.
