Coaster Parody: Cannibal at Lagoon

This new for 2015 roller coaster will leave fans blown away with its mind boggling 116 degree beyond vertical drop, and it's signature "lagoon roll!" But as awesome as the ride is, one can't help but wonder why on earth they would name the ride after a person who eats someone. This alone makes it a great candidate for todays Coaster Parody!

As someone who’s home park is Lagoon, this video gave me nostalgia. The hype leading up to this was insane, it took longer to open then expected (basically Lightning Rod before Lightning Rod), it had a lot of technical problems even when it opened, and the line was massive the first 2 years of operation. Its funny because history seems to be repeating itself with the way Primordial’s construction is going, and if it’s anything like that one dark ride roller coaster that was at Canada’s Wonderland, those technical problems will never go away.

Great parody. I enjoy these. A few corrections though. Cannibal is not the first ride they have built/ manufactured.. Wicked they designed, BomBora they designed and manufactured. BomBora by the way is a fun ride and was a great addition to Lagoon. Going back to 1997 Lagoon built their Raft Ride. The only bought the ride components from Intamin, Lagoon did the rest.Same with many of their rides. Lagoon is a great park and I invite everyone to come out and enjoy Lagoon. As well as other places in Utah.

In all honesty cannibal would be a good fit at Cedar Point. 1. It’s good 2. It’s landlocked 3. There isn’t a euro fighter/beyond 90 degree drop coaster there(yes I know maverick has a beyond 90 degree drop but honestly it’s not great) 4. More people can ride it Disclaimer: I am NOT a Cedar point fanboy and the rides there are already amazing I was just pointing out some good reasons it would fit in there.

Glad I finally got to ride this. Wicked is pretty good too. However, Wicked’s restraints are literally the worst restraints I’ve ever experienced. The ride itself is fun, but those shin-guard things are just cruel and painful. It’s weird because Cannibal has very similar restraints, but those ones are actually very comfortable somehow.

It's actually interesting, it was going to be called Savage before the name changed, probably because of how many people starting using the word as slang, and Lagoon couldn't have that. *cough* Wicked *cough* The name change was year before the announcement, however. I personally think the name Savage would have been better.

Coaster Studios ... my guess, and please correct me if I’m wrong, are any of you current or former theater geeks? Like, I don’t have any other possible explanation other than you have a plethora of camera-comfortable fans clamoring to be in your parodies. And everyone is so attuned to the humor and comedic timing, even the younger kids! You guys are the best “new” (to me) channel on YT. Honestly.
