I'm still afraid of going on some of those insane rides, but your videos are pretty relaxing knowing the safety that's placed into this machinery. There's always that "what if" accident anxiety for some people, even if it's calmed down after a few rides.

I love this thing. I'm almost too short to ride it though, when it flips my ass isn't on the seat at all, but i don't feel like i'm going to fall out. They don't move fast, my drunk self managed to hold her cookies on this and the gravitron. It's a different kind of thrill from g-force, it's just how long you spend upside down. some who can't stand being upside down for too long shouldn't ride this.
@OfftheWallTales4 жыл бұрын
My local fair in the US has one of those actually. And I'm 5'5 and my ass comes up a bit too. The only thing going for me is that every time the operator has to shove the restraint down on me as my chest doesn't let it close right, so squishing me in normally sticks me in place. I enjoy it but my biggest complaint is that the one I went on flipped completely upside down and spun in a circle for a good 10 seconds. The ones in the video didn't do this, and it just wasn't enjoyable to rest upside down on those hard restraints for that long.

'Spinout' is a phenomenal ride! There used to be a local carnival that had one, but it doesn't come around any more. They also had one in Wildwood NJ for a long time (named "Maelstrom"), but I heard that too was removed recently. Those things can be very dizzying, but I always found the ride to be very smooth. And when you're upside-down, with both platform and claw spinning in the same direction to really whip you around, that's just … spectacular! I was a bit antsy going on one after what happened at the Ohio State fair (with a different ride that uses similar gondolas), but I *have* been on Maelstrom since that incident.

An important factor in the history of this ride type is the Tivoli Spin Out (which was actually built in conjunction with KMG). KMG Move-Its were sold to the mainland European market, whereas the Tivoli rides went to the UK (where they were built) and importantly the US market (which Tivoli had a strong foot in, but the then-young KMG company didn't). There's still loads of Tivoli Spin Outs operating in the US on the carnival circuit.

Would you recommend this ride to someone with low ride intensity like myself? It almost looks like something I could do, as it doesn't go too far off the ground. Thanks.

At my local fair we would have what looked like a moveit 24 but this one could go completely upside down and stay there for multiple rotations, it was just named the claw and it had a post-apocalyptic dystopian future background art, don’t know much about other than every year it seems to be closed more and more with this past having it closed the entire time spent at our fair, not running once, poor thing has seen better days I think. Very fun ride too, very good truck ride, one of the best probably

Hey guys great job as always. I enjoy your commentaries on all videos. However to the American narrator ( I don't know your name) I'd like to point out you mispronounced the name TIVOLI. It should be said as ( TEE VA LEE). just pointing that out to be helpful rather than an ass! The name Tivoli is a tourist town 20 or so miles east of Rome. And whether it's Amusement or Circus related, always remember Tivoli spelled backwards is. I LOV IT

The move it 18 is unknown how much there are produced. KMG Rides Search (facebook) Is still searching to make the list complete. Top Fun also made more than the number you mentioned The later Spin Out from Tivoli have alternate gondola construction. They are connected to the arms by large pins instead of a handful of bolts. Just an easy thing to see the difference. The arms are also a bit different because of that. Almost all of them are in the USA. KMG only produced a few of them. Moser rides did not knock off the top star tour. Moser Rides was the "Moser" in Soriani & Moser Pity you mentioned the incident with the move it 32 It was a simple fault which was in the ride since it was new. The gondola was not in the right position to lower it, but it couldn't be moved to the correct position. One of the later owners deleted some of the safety systems which had to prevent it from lowering with the fault. The owner in belgium did not know this. That was discovered after the fact. The ride operator just lowered it very slowly to make it easier to get the passengers out. the story was blown up by the media as many fair/theme park related incidents are.

I’ve ridden one, and I’m sure it’s KMG, because the restraints are the ones you see on all their rides - and those restraints make it so painful! All your weight is on your inner thighs because these restraints are not made for rides with this much hangtime.

I'm trying to wrap my head around a stand up seat. Like, you have to sit in a seat to sit in seat, so if your standing in a seat your not in a seat, but it's a stand up seat, so your walk up to a seat, but to don't do anything when..... I'm thinking about it too much

The Murphy Brothers traveling fair always had a Spin Out and it was one of the best rides at the fair each year (and the least nauseating). Unfortunately, since the local state fair switched to Crabtree Amusements I haven't seen a Spin Out. I didn't know they were uncommon in the states, but now I'm less hopeful that there's one somewhere in Crabtree's ride rotation.
