Mindbender reverse back seat on-ride HD POV Galaxyland Amusement Park

This Schwarzkopf triple loop coaster stands 145 feet tall, goes 60 mph and has two sets of trains, each with three cars. Often the last car on one of the trains is reversed, allowing guests to ride the roller coaster without being able to see where they are going.

God I love the sounds this ride make. You can hear the Gs when the train is going through the loops, the "roar" becomes much deeper. Best sounding coaster in my book.

@@lindsay1065 It had one of the worst (fatal) roller coaster accidents in history in 1986. The first warning they had was the ride started making a strange sound. The employees told maintenance about it twice, but they told them it was safe to continue running the ride. A few minutes later, 3 people were dead.

Man I never realised how lucky I was to have this legendary coaster in my backyard until it was gone. While I went on the ride countless times, I think I only ever went backwards once, because its a tad uncomfortable with less legroom, but HOLY SHIT is it scary and so soooo intense. On the way up I was definetly having second thoughts, thinking why I was stupid enough to do this and not being able to see what was coming made it so scary but fun. You will be dearly missed Mindbender....

I’m amazed at the constant speed of this coaster considering how long it is. Scharzkoff really knew how to engineer intense coasters. Been on this once, but I’d like to go back! The Jetstar at Santa Cruz Boardwalk was also intense for a small compact coaster.

I've been on this coaster many times but never backwards, I heard its nauseating and scary as hell to go backwards! Looks pretty fun in the video though!

Because of the articulation between the cars, the backward car is physically different from the two forward-facing cars. The seats are all shifted toward the back slightly - meaning there is significantly less legroom in the back car than the other two. I'm 6'-2" and barely fit in the forward facing cars, and had to completely fold myself into a knot to get in the backward-facing car. It was tight and awful but totally worth it. :) This is an incredible machine!

Backward ride in 2009 and for 6' 170lbs at that time, my back and neck still hurt from this but was worth it. The old Big Shot tower/drop ride hurt too. Looked forward to in-room hottub afterward, but the hotel's hot water had crapped out! This is why the Oilers suck and Flames rule (I kid...sort of...)
