I remember when Charlene sang "There is a Time" on the Andy Griffith show and Andy Stopped playing his guitar so that he could listen to her sing. When the song was over Andy said, "Well I believe that's the prettiest thing I've ever heard." That was television history.

The Andy Griffith show has timeless values and talent all rolled up into a show that has never left syndication and for very good reason. Griffith and Knotts were pure magic together in that show. I could spend all of my TV viewing hours on just classic TV.

I'm 70 years old and I get good deals on box sets of entire seasons of classic TV shows at W**-M***. Gunsmoke, Have Gun, Will Travel, The Munsters, Addams Family, The Twilight Zone, etc. I love that I can watch all these old favorites commercial-free. They bring back happy memories of the whole family in the TV room enjoying this G-rated stuff. I even have an episode of Petticoat Junction featuring Dennis Hopper. Oh yeah.
@trainliker1002 жыл бұрын
@@MegaSmitty51 I watch all sorts of such old reruns on cable and it is fun to see "big names" when they were first starting. Like Charles Bronson in five "Have Gun Will Travel" episodes as a different character in each. ("Have Gun Will Travel" re-used the same actors quite a bit.) And I just saw Ed Harris in an old "Rockford" episode playing a bad cop. And Leonard Nimoy in the film series "Zombies of the Stratosphere".

That was actually 1 of 3 episodes of AG that would be good Halloween episodes for that show, burying the stuff by the oak tree at night and doing the "incant" with Andy on her right side to get divorced, Barney getting the book on mountain folklore to help Andy get out of the wedding, Barney being the rider in black on the white horse riding east to west to curse the union. Just the whole "magic" tone of the episode. That episode, 3 Wishes for Opie, and of course "The Haunted House" episode are my personal "Andy Griffith Halloween" episodes!
