In US Indiana state, their cousins raccoons love cat, plus chicken & even rabbit pellets. They’ll steal eggs & baby chicks if not kept out by hardware cloth. They are smart, like your coatis.

For anyone watching this video and wanting one of these things as a pet let me tell you these things are horrible pets. Because for one thing they bite, and for another thing they can get aggressive, and for yet another thing they bite, and for a fourth thing when they get bored they lower your house's property value, and last but not least, these things bite. So yeah that's a thing.
