Btw also need to work out the audio issues and invest in a lapel mic or something that isn’t clipping cutting out what you guys are talking about.

Most of the presenters refuse to be mic'd with a lavalier.

Mike La Putt i meant on you as your closer than camera. Also ca do a cardioid setup in ortf or a shotgun mic

AppalachianGunSlinger we tried the shotgun mic a few years back. The gun blast was significantly more problematic than the onboard mic.

AppalachianGunSlinger I forgot to mention that it was Mixflip in front of the camera. I’m operating the camera on a handheld freestanding boom.

Mike La Putt been a while since Ive done audio so dont know all the products out there now. Bit a quick browse might try something like Tascams TM-X2. Though I prefer schoeps for what your doing it will work fine. Used to follow and record live bands. Noise and back ground much louder than this

This is useless. Can't hear what the guy is saying for all the gun fire. they should have a sound reduction booth for interviews. Or just save the interviews for the exhibition floor.
