I did cobb stage 1 2 years ago and still runs great... I noticed that your turbo pressure goes to 17-21 mine is always at 15-16 psi max

My boost pressure goes to a max of 21psi. I have a Macan S. I have some friends with Macan Turbo and they report lower boost pressure after a Cobb tuning.

Great video my friend Just made the purchase myself. BTW, what kind of scan tool are you using?

Launch X431. Bi-directional comm and ECU coding capable. Thanks for your kind words and for your support!

Hi friend. Have you solved the problem concerning valve noise when you release gas? I had the same problem and havent solved it installing flat 6 diverter valves...
@porscheDIY Жыл бұрын
The release is normal, but it is amplified when car is tuned. It seems that piston-type diverter valves will release more abruptly and with more turbulence, causing the noise level to be much higher. I changed my 034 diverter valves (piston-type) to APR diverter valves (diaphragm-type) and it helped a lot. The release is quieter and less frequent. I think Flat6 diverter valves are also piston-type, same as 034.

@@porscheDIYThanx form the information, friend. But couldn't that be a wastegate mechanic noise?

Did MPG change ? If so by how much?
@porscheDIY12 күн бұрын
Honestly, I didn’t notice any meaningful change in MPG. Thanks for watching and subscribe!

You say you purchased used. Was this unit initially for a Porsche macan? Or was it for a different vehicle and you were able to use it to flash the Macan? Thank you.
@porscheDIY8 ай бұрын
It needs to be specifically for Macan, and also for specific generation. For example, mine works for Macan Gen 1.
@ArthurSperotto8 ай бұрын
So if you don't own a diagnostics tool, you just have to live with all those automatically generated fault codes the Cobb gives during flashing??
@porscheDIY8 ай бұрын
Not necessarily. You should be able to clear the fault codes with the Cobb Accessport. I should’ve demonstrated that as well. Didn’t think about it at the time since I had the diagnostic tool. Good question and observation though….

Pretty awesome!!! I've been a customer of Cobb and the Accessport since 2004 (v1), so I know they make a great handheld product. What nationality are you, if you don't mind me asking? It's a very peculiar accent.

Thanks for your support and for watching. I grew up in Puerto Rico. Then, moved to the states many years ago… but still have a strong Latin-Caribbean accent…☺️

Great video and I wasn’t sure if I was using the Cobb or Softronic but it appears the Cobb is easier and more user friendly. Was the gains night and day different😊
@porscheDIY Жыл бұрын
For my Macan S, it was night and day. My Macan woke up. Boost pressure went up from 14 to 15 psi to 21 to 22psi, and acceleration is on another level. Thanks for your support!
@evanlangley9130 Жыл бұрын
@@porscheDIY that is very reassuring and I am excited to do that next. I can assume us Macan S owners are all in agreement that when the sport button isn’t pushed down low it’s very lazy. I am coming from a 997.1 TT tiptronic and thought that was lazy down low but this is another level. My question is does the Cobb help down low when I am not in sport mode? Thank you!

how much more HP did you get?
@porscheDIY10 ай бұрын
I don’t know. I didn’t take the Macan to a Dyno before or after. I can feel it though. Is night and day. Maybe there are other videos in KZbin specific to how much HP the Macan S gains with the Stage 1 tune.
