I have a sneaking suspicion that he will. I’m pretty sure that originally Rangers of the New Republic was going to center around Cara Dune, but after Gina Carano’s firing I imagine they are only keeping it on the back burner until they could find her replacement. It makes sense now that we see Cobb Vanth in the bath. I was wondering why they didn’t have Cad Bane in the bath, but Cobb Vanth losing the fight and conveniently being removed from Marshall of Freetown, allows for a Season 2, where Boba doesn’t just go for a town, but all of Tattooine. I thought it seemed inconsistent, that he called himself the Daimyo of Tattooine and only became the mayor of Mos Espa. A lot of fans were miffed that he didn’t just stay with the tuskens, keep them alive, and allow Cobb Vanth to keep the armor as the last sign of his past life. But that wouldn’t fit with his trajectory in Mando S2. I think we will see a Book of Boba Fett S2, learning from the failures of S1, where he finds the Tusken assassin that trained him in melee weapon combat who has become part of another tribe, and joins forces with them. We will see a different version of Manda’lor Boba Fett in legends. Boba Fett, Fennec, Krrsantan, the mods, and the tuskens will retake Tattooine in its entirety, and will purify the planet. Cobb Vanth will replace Cara Dune as lead of Rangers of the New Republic. I’m calling it now.
