Nice, fyi for people planning to build one the pressure switch is a spring loaded switch that turns the switch on and off in a selected range of pressure. This being 90 psi it shuts it off and when it dips below a certain pressure it will turn back on. There is not a real need for my understanding of the position and negative side of things but I may have just fluked mine. Have fun. Keep nerfing.

Do you have a link to a pressure cutoff switch? I don't know what I'm looking for.

You said it will work for a little while, is it going to destroy itself or something? I know hpa is a little better and worth saving for but how long will it last?
@Nickrarri7 жыл бұрын
PricklysNerfMods if I were to guess based on how he did his connections, it was probably leaking like crazy, but that’s just speculation.

How do you carry it? I'm imagining the weight isn't too bad, but the location would be awkward

Ok so when you said 90psi cut off switch does that mean turns on at 90 psi and off at 120, or off at 90 and on at something else

Is it worth is to use a paintball tank (as opposed to a compressor)? I was thinking about trying that, but have no idea how many shots it would give... Guess it relies on a lot of factors (volume, PSI, regulator settings...) has anyone already done the math..?
@cobbabuilds7 жыл бұрын
Chillburn depends on the tank, a full 4500psi tank would get you a days worth of play. Tanks are just nice and stealthy really hahah
@rmfberry2614 жыл бұрын
is there a reason for the 1/2" regulator other then the fitting you are using or would an 1/4" work just fine with its equivalent fittings?
@alexcurmi74124 жыл бұрын
Any input/output size regulator will work the same with the correct fittings. The one he chose probably only works with 1/2 inch
@barrymcbruce7 жыл бұрын
Hey CObba, first thanks for the vid, super helpful. Secondly, I have a 300psi one of these laying about, is there any need for the 100/150? or is that just because you are limiting it to 90 psi, so the rest is just overkil?
@cobbabuilds7 жыл бұрын
it could work with the right fittings. this compressor will fill your blaster faster tough but the trade-off is a lighter psi, but with yours its the opposite
@barrymcbruce7 жыл бұрын
COBBAcrazy gotcha. It probably won't be that big a deal as I'm going to use it for a mega centurion.. Hey if you can make a longstrike good maybe there's hope for the centy. Also they take an age to reload / rechamber so probably not a huge deal. Super excited for part 2: the internals! Thanks again for showing us this, pretty dam amazing

Hm. This seems like it'd be great. I'm working on a Raider mod right now, when I finish it I'll probably end up with something like this but not with a LiPo. I'll have to ask my cousin about his paintball stuff next time I see him.

What are the specs for the psi? By that I mean 10-40,90 to 12, what is it? Also is it Normally Open or Normally Close?

@@jamesjordan318 its a normally closed switch. It opens when the pressure is reached cutting power so the pump turns off.

How long would a setup like this last if it wasn’t compressing as I was playing? Approximately how many shots could I get off?

1 decent shot, 1 half decent. then you will need to charge, so 2.

It’s cringe-y to see how you wrapped the Teflon tape. Wrap in such a direction that it doesn’t strip the tape off as you twist it in. Also use the full width of the tape, not just strands.
@Nickrarri7 жыл бұрын
Remove all preexisting tape and gunk then use 3-4 wraps.

No, you can see at 5:06 that the air gauge does not budge until I fire where it quickly builds pressure again 100% air seal
@Nickrarri7 жыл бұрын
COBBAcrazy I’m not saying it doesn’t work, I’m saying it’s not proper practice with the methods you use and can lead to issues down the line.
