This Is Fantastic! The best part is plug and play. No need to go to a performance shop and pay to have it ref lashed! Also the capability of custom tune is Huge! Is there any plans for TCU support? I like the concept of the accessport. The only thing is I have the DSG and most people are saying you should get a TCU flash to remove the electronic limits on clutch clamping force.

I am wondering how the access port would affect my car's bumper-to-bumper warranty, and power-train warranty? As well as the necessary parts for higher tuning, and how I could make sure I don't lose warranty for my MK6. It was certified pre-owned at a VW dealership. An answer would be great because I just got this car 40k miles. I'm aware every dealership is different, but maybe some tips? I am very interested in tuning my car!

Unfortunately not. It would be fun to do more but our team is small and because we offer OTS maps, hard parts, and custom tuning software for all supported cars. We have to keep the focus small in order to actually get full support out consistently. We'll be sticking with MK6/7 GTI and MK7 R then working on MK8 when it comes.

Do I need to insert a chip in the ECU in order to tune using this tuner? Or can I just plug this into a completely stock mk6 gti and start tuning? Also will the stage 2 tune work with an exhaust that isn't from COBB?

We flash directly through the OBDII port so you can simply pug it in and go! Yes, you can use our Stage 2 calibration with a different manufacturers exhaust as long as it shares a similar configuration (3" Turboback with a high flow catalytic converter). - Marshall@COBB
