Only caught one near the bridge, and that one was off about 20m when I hooked him. I tend to get uber-focused on sighting and presenting with eels and bucktails. You finding the fish, and then going after them deep, trying different things, is a good wake up. See you on the water.

It definitely was an eye-opener for me. My buddies who dive the bridge say the ones up top are a VERY small percentage of the fish living there.

Good work guys! Bridge fishing is my all time favorite. Nothing beats this challenge. If I could give ya a tip, once you get the fish in open water, keep the boat in a spin that way you can hold the fish on the corner stern, don’t have to chase it around the boat.

A guide I go with in cape Charles when we cobia fish unhooks them takes a quick picture and then toss them in head first they swim off fine
