I had one of these some 30 years ago. Gave it to a guy who cut the limiter and added 3 switches to the top that gave me 40 channels below one and like 100 channels above 40. He also modified it so the TUNE became a slider……id gonto the park and slide between channels 15/16 (i think) which is (was) the whole RC bands at the time! Id have fun watching a dad and son play with their remote control car--id let the dad show the son and as soon as the son would get the controller id key up and the car would go everywhere !!! It was hysterical to watch puzzled fathers not understanding how their kid is crashing the rc car!!!! Mine was just a 148 GTL --loved that thing

I have been playing on the mk1 and mk2 lately both unmodafied and just been serviced .Great fun i love the sound of these old radios and of coarse the nostalgia .The signal on mine was lazy before i got it serviced
