It's getting hard to find one anymore that hasn't been hacked. Got a buddy wanting to trade me one. I know it has channel mods done so I will have to delete that. I personally think they are really overrated for what they are. Great work!

The performance is pretty much on par with other radios. The cybernet based telsat ssb 140 has much better performance. I think why they're so popular is because they look great, easy to work on and easy to mod. Uniden boards are definitely simpler and easier to work on than cybernet. But I like them.
