Because it’s got rear exit exhaust pipes instead of side exit like most Cobras. However most Cobras had rear exit since most were street cars, not semi-competition which is what most replicas are.

There are only 31 genuine Shelby Cobra 427 S/C They are the only genuine Cobra’s to get side pipes. The other 1,000 genuine Cobras all got rear exit exhaust like this Cobra here. If anything, his Cobra is more accurate, since the S/C only got powdercoated black (and a couple white) side pipes. Every chrome side pipe is an indicator that it’s not genuine, just a replica. Either way, sidepipes are cool, but street Cobras are also really cool.

Wrong. Only semi-competitions got the side exit exhaust, there’s only 50 cars by serial number that were Competition versions, all with side pipes. ALL street versions (not S/C) had rear exit, most with 428ci but if you called them out on it they’d slap in a 427. (There’s also 289 versions but I specifically mean the 427s)

No difference the ac cobra was sold as the Shelby cobra in the US as they were produced in both the UK and US

Ac is a British manufacturer know as auto-carriers they would the later make the ac ace which later came as the ac cobra after that they were in a race where Shelby saw then and said I’ll put my engines inside if you can send the bodywork then it later came to the us but was never originally sold there only the uk
