Now that doesn’t excuse their actions like being a bully but it does help you understand them in a more positive way

You're right & even Sam said that she had no idea, but can you honestly blame her for not believing anything good about Tory when you consider the bullying, the assaults, the attacks, the attempted murder & break in at her house that Tory put her through. Yeah, Sam was definitely wrong with how she treated Tory in S4 & she's no angel in this rivalry & owes Tory an apology as much as Tory owes her one, but ultimately Sam's attitude towards Tory is the position that Tory put Sam in because when you're dealing with someone that has made an attempt on your life & traumatized you, you're always going to be on guard with them. Two perfect examples look how Daniel acts around Silver & to a lesser extent how Johnny acts around Kreese

I mean after Tory is without a doubt Sam's Johnny Lawarence & Sam is definitely Tory's Daniel LaRusso so you that as much of an interesting dynamic they are going to have, it's not going to be all hugs, kisses, barbie doll playing, and clothes borrowing between them
