This version was put together in 2 days. Megan sent it to Spiritbox. Mike wrote the music to it, then handed it to Courtney who wrote the phrasing and that chorus, except the chorus was only at the end. Megan sent it back saying the ending should be the chorus and she wanted to release it the next day. Mike and Courtney drove to their producer's family to drag him away from his birthday to finish it in time for Megan to release it the next day. Which is why the visualizer is just a loop of a part of the original video.

The combination of Rap and Metal was practically accepted from the beginning, with Public Enemy's collaboration with Anthrax (Thrash Metal band) on Bring The Noise. This combination was also a desire of rap artists Ice Cube, Xzibit, House of Pain, among others. A few years later, Nu Metal emerged, a sub-genre of Alternative Metal, with a compilation of several Metal genres into one, to meet the need for Rap to be accepted in Metal. Nu Metal exploded for a decade and along with it, Rap Metal. During 2010 until today, Rap Metal has been evolving, expanding to other Metal genres, such as Metalcore and Deathcore. A Spiritbox song that I highly recommend you listen to is Rotoscope. The song has a strong feel for Nu Metal and Industrial Metal, with elements of Pop Metal and 80s electronica.
