You should design one for those who want to replace their plastic buckle with a Cobra...but don't want to cut the webbing or undo the stitching. Maybe one with removable steel pin's on each side ?....

Hello from Austria! Thank you for your question. Because there are so many different ways to combine the COBRA®, the main and push parts ("male and female") are each marked separately. The characteristics / sizes etc. of the respective part are described. We offer a high in-house production depth of our COBRA® buckles. For example, the male and female buckle parts of the COBRA® are available as adjustable or non-adjustable versions in the sizes of 25, 33, 38, 45, 50 and 58mm. Thanks to the possibility to combine the parts with different size and adjustability options there is a COBRA® buckle for almost any application. This depends on which buckle you use. They are available in many variants for differnet webbing thicknesses. The standard size should work with a leather belt though. The comparison is actually relatively simple: the function and features, the breaking load values, the material, the applications, the producton ... pretty much everything is completely different. And a Fitlock buckle cannot be compared with a COBRA PRO STYLE Quick Release Buckle. But we don't want to badmouth the Fitlock buckle here. 😎Because this buckle also has its area of application. whats the lifespan like in marine applications? does it corrode with saltwater?

So first of all, the COBRA® PRO STYLE from the video is made out of following materials: Body: aluminum Rivets and adjuster bar: stainless steel Clips: brass which means we would not recommend use in the marine sector with this type of buckle. Especially for marine use, we would recommend the COBRA® NAUTIC - it is made of stainless steel and therefore more suitable for salt water. However, it is IMPORTANT to follow the instructions for use (I will post the link in a moment) - this means cleaning and storing the COBRA® NAUTIC - especially in connection with seawater.
