That's pretty sick, but I think this was a couple of years before Magnus became really good at armwrestling? Not sure when Magnus became a european armwrestling champion? From 1995 and onwards I think he only did Strongman competitions though, winning Sweden's Strongest Man in 1995 and finishing in 10th place in WSM the same year. He didn't win WSM until 1998. I think Magnus could possibly have dominated the sport of armwrestling, had he continued to armwrestle throughout the 90s. After all, he was already a european armwrestling champion before even becoming the big hulk he's know as. Magnus was known for having "the world's strongest arms" and he was also 1 of only 5 people, still to this day, ever able to close a Captain of Crush #4 gripper (and he had to do so without the help of his pinky, since he couldn't fit it on the handle due to his enormous hands). His height (6'7"), and peak weight during his Strongman years (344 lbs), would have served him well too. He would have been an absolute beast, closer to Levan Saginashvili (6'4" / 370 lbs) and Denis Cyplenkov (6'1" / 317 lbs) in size and strength than any other armwrestler I can think of. Levan is known for being the strongest armwrestler who ever lived. He tested his grip strength in 2019 and the result was 127 kg (279 lbs). Magnus's grip strength, judging by his ability to close the Captain of Crush #4 gripper, back in 2004, was atleast 165.6 kg (365 lbs). Again, that was without the help of his pinky.

It's well-known that Magnus was an armwrestler before his strongman career, and he was known for having the world's strongest arms. There's a video of him doing 2 x 270 kg raw in training. Why would he lie about once having achieved a personal best of 1 x 300 kg? If he can randomly pull off 2 x 270 kg raw at any time, with a bit left in the tank, that actually brings his theoretical 1 rep max to 300.

@@viperracing2889 Plates were painted which clearly can be seen in the video, also you can use common sense here... 300 kg and 2x 270 RAW is something (with a very few exceptions) that only the elite specialists can do

@@xismxist So in other words you have 0 proof that the plates were painted and you are just speculating. Bench pressing events was very common in strongman competitions during the 90s and early 2000s and Magnus was always the best at those events along with Hugo Girard, usually he beats Hugo Girard who has benched 240kg for 5 reps outside his prime in the gym, you can find videos of it. It shouldn't be suprising to you that an old school strongman was good at a pressing event when most trained for it back then. At a competition he benched 200 kg for 15 reps, look up what that equals to 1 rep in a calculator. Let me guess, you also thought him claiming to close the CoC #4 was fake as well until you read he got certificate on it by officials.

European championships were held by EAF, and you can check the winners over the years at their website (spolier alert: Magnus isnt one of them) Its amazing how his fanboys believe everything he says, from the euro arm wrestling champ claim to his 300 kg bench press claim (or was it 290? or even 310!?) over the years this liar has told different stories
