Well said. I agree. LED lighting is the best possible. I refuse to buy fluorescent bulbs or lighting and have replaced everything in my hoe with either incandescent or LED where possible. Viper Keeper, great job and wonderful content. Please keep up the exciting work you share with all of us. Thank you.

Urea is a byproduct of metabolism where the body modifies toxic waste, Nitrogenous wastes in particular, into less harmless compounds like Urea. The Urea is then excreted as urine from Mammals or Uric acid (Urate) by reptiles.

Removal of the eye caps. A lot of times, when a snake sheds, it might leave the shed on its eye caps. This can lead to infection after time. It is one of the more common issues with shedding.
@viperkeeper12 жыл бұрын
Yes but.... 1) Makes loud noise and vibrations 2) Blows cage dust about the room which can sensitize you against snakes, giving you an allergy which can kill you faster then the venom.

Pro tip for anyone who owns multiple snakes invest in a shop vac you can just suck all the substrate out in less then a minute makes cleaning multiple enclosures so much easier.

Why do you people insist on wasting my time with facts that really don't matter. All the data relates to mice, not humans. It does not matter which caliber gun you get shot in the head with, dead is dead. Venomous snakes are much the same. IMO: 1) Philippine 2) Cape 3) Common 4) Monocle 5) Forest

Have you tried puting in more substrate? What I've found if I put about 3 inches of it, most snakes burrow in it and they cut tunnels all through it. This helps a ton with shedding and eye caps. Thought I'd share. great work

Can you explain the scientific differences between your Gaboons and Rhinos when you get the chance. I am fascinated by them they are probably my favorite snake now watching Gabby hiss when you offer food cracks me up. But I was just curious to what their evolutionary background is couldn't find allot about this online at least where I was looking. So maybe if you have a link or you could explain would be awesome I understand if you don,t have the time though.

It seems like the Naja naja you have tend to get stuck eyecaps often? I know I have seen you done this procedure more than once before. Maybe you should put in a bin filled with moist sphagnum moss that he can lay in when he is about to shed, not sure what this type of box is called in english, "moistbox" maybe? I use them for alot of my snakes with great sucsess.

Another great video :) Keep doing what you are doing! When the Black Beast dies you should give him a proper burial. I've never seen such a cool snake. Next year if all goes well I'm going to get my first venomous snake (V. ammodytes) so I was wondering where do you get your red bins. Can I get them or something similar in Europe? I remember you talking about them but I don't remember which video it was. Regards Martin R.
