Okay... So why when I try to drag the cursor along a stretch of the top audio file to highlight a section to remove, it doesn't highlight all the songs below it and keep them aligned when I delete a section of the top song? I have to then go down to each song and remove the dead space. What am I doing wrong??

I'm using Audacity 2.1.0. When I click File - Export Audio I don't get the "format options" section of the drop down box like I see in your video at the 15.22 mark. Additionally, when I insert 5 seconds of silence in the first audio file, it doesn't shift ANY of the other audio files to the right. So I have 5 seconds of overlap between the 1st and second audio files. What am I doing wrong??!

Good catch +Pyro In Tampa! You'll need to click on the stopwatch icon in the tool bar before doing the 5 seconds of silence. The button should display sync-lock tracks, when you hover over it. I turned this on months back when I updated and forgot to mention it, my apologize for the confusion! As for the format options, are you sure you're "Save As Type" dropdown displays Mp3? Hope this helps!

Fireworks Show Thanks for that clarification. As for the MP3 file type... I had to install a FF something something add on for it to save as MP3. Eventually I got it to work. Technology and I don't get along. I appreciate guys like you who make it slightly less painful. :-)

One more question if I may... I have 4 songs I'm trying to stitch together for next years show. Of course the very first one "Eruption - You really got me" has a sample format of 48000 and not 41000 as is required by the Audiobox. I attempted to follow the instructions in the Audiobox PDF from the Cobra site, and the option listed on page 7 "Then, click Edit > Remove Audio or Labels > Cut." does not exist in Audacity version 2.1.0. I can modify the sample rate by just clicking on the name then "set rate - 41000" but then it stretches the song out and it doesn't sound right when it's played. So how can I change the format from 48K to 41K and still make it play properly??

If you change the project rate in the bottom to 41000, when you export to MP3, it should convert all of the 48000 files to 41000. You're final exported MP3 should read 41000 and the audio should play normalized on all of the files.

You saved your audio file to a USB. That is NOT the USB you stick in your remote,or your audio box, correct? Once you import music in to CSC and finish scripting, you save that to a USB, correct? Now does that USB go in to the remote or in to the audio box?
@FireworksShows7 жыл бұрын
+mguerramd Both the script and the audio can be saved to the same drive. Since the 18R2 will save the script internally after it’s loaded you can then use the same USB stick to load the mp3 to the audio box. The difference is the Audi box requires that the stick be left in it in order to play the music.

Fireworks Show Okay thanks for that. I haven’t scripted to music yet but have the Audio Box, CSC, and Audacity. Will try with the help of your vids thanks.

Make sure your audiobox file name on your cobra.csv file is audiobox.mp3. I ran into an issue where I was saving the file as that but for some reason on the actual cobra.csv script file, it had the audacity file name which when you start your script, it will not start the audio on the audiobox...user error but easy to do.
