Hi Mark. Not the best of footage overall! I need a better mount for the 400 when filming! And so annoyed my wireless mic failed. All in all though, a great day👍🏻

@@MarkKerton sometimes it’s just about enjoying it. We all have failures…. I left my tripod at home this morning and didn’t realise until I was near Lancaster ……. Use the tools you have available and do the best based on the knowledge you have is my motto mate

For those of us less privileged to see The Red Arrows that often, would love to see more of them in action???

Both days I went it was dull, windy... but atmospheric, nice to have a bit of rain by the fence, not so nice pitch side.

Very enjoyable video and some great images Mark. The Red Arrows footage jogged my old memory cells. Although I'm not a huge aviation fan I was in the RAF in the 80s and whilst based at Brawdy I did quite a few flights in the Hawks. I well remember one occasion when I was tasked with getting some formation photos of the various aircraft based there at the time. This was when they were transitioning from Hunters to the Hawks and so we had a formation of single and twin seat Hunters , the Hawks and the Jet Provost. The interesting thing I recall from that particular flight was that I flew with a Sqdn Leader Hoskins who had previously been a lead pilot for the Arrows. What a gent. I told him what i needed and he ensured that the other pilots did exactly what I wanted and we got the images pretty quickly. He then dismissed them all and we went on a flight up along the west coast of Wales. I had had a few dodgy flights in the past with some of the younger pilots and had spent a number of trips filling sick bags. 🤮🤮 He was aware of this and flew that plane so smoothly that I was absolutely fine. The best flight I ever had in a jet. 😊

Great video again Mark. Such a soft spot for the A400M or ATLAS as its called in Service....I much preferred the Grizzly name it had during the flight test campaign. And not sure if you got to hear it on take off or landing but such a distinctive "haunting" engine note from the Europrop engines. Nerd fact for you....the propellers are contra-rotating ....can't recall the reason why now....but made for some interesting parachute deployments in Flight test
