I have only great memories from living and working in Coburg in the early 80's. Getting older I miss hanging out Bei Adams and Steintor.

@2:30 important to point out that the area she is walking now, at the front of the Court Garden is a Mausoleum in those walls. Though it's often overlooked. Nobody really cares about tombs of knights and whomever else was there. I honestly don't even remember, been 30 years ago since I've lived there ;)

Am I getting Coberg confused with Colberg?... As I was stationed in Bamberg, in the early '70's, in the US Army... So, its been 50 years, and I may have forgotten the actual spelling ... But, we would do, for some 45 days at a time, for several times per year, in Coberg ... We did border duty and patrol in the area, along the then, East German border, in Bavaria, of course on the then West German side ... So, if someone can clarify for me, it would be appreciated... Thank you ... At least, I do remember a huge castle there...

I live in coburg. for a few days its very nice but living there is shit. There are no big shops, nothing to do, its always cold and the castle isnt that cool is you think. The whole "city"(if you can call it city its very small) is boring

Nana Reynoso I can see your point, it's a lovely town but small. I lived in Nurnberg for a while and there was always stuff to do....it is also much larger.

Then leave it. We neednt people like you in Coburg, then Coburg is one of the best places to live, and if you arent happy with that beautyful city, you wont find a place to live.

Though this post is 2 years old, I have the feeling to quickly respond to it as it is intentionally full of wrong information about Coburg: - There are actually big shops, but not as much as in the inside of the city. There is a place called 'Lauterer Höhe' and a near town called 'Rödental' where you can find bigger stores. If that's not enough you can easily reach bigger cities within half an hour via the Autobahn. - There are a lot of thing to do in Coburg. We have a big cinema, a public swimming pool, a lot of restaurants and museums and of course a really beautiful city with a great nature surrounding it. However, Coburg is definitely not a 'party' region. - Coburg isn't always cold, that's clearly a stupid stereotype. Of course we have winter with snowfall, but spring and autumn is pretty normal and summer can be very hot. - The castle is actually one of the biggest and best preserved ones in Germany with a great overview over the city.
