Videos of what it would sound like for each of these, right after each of these were implanted and then compare with a few weeks out, then months out. Thank you 😊❤

When you record a video saying a versus b, it’s recommend that you explain when a is recommended and when b is recommended, otherwise you frustrate who falls for your title. This is precisely the case.

Looks like the Baha is far less invasive than the cochlear implant.

I have recently received a Med-El CI due to profound hearing loss. My ENT tells me I don't understnd speech as it is processed in a different part of the brain. Can you speak to this? I hear noises very clearly but speech is not very clear.

Is BAHA effective if someone has total sensorineural hearing loss in one ear ?
@ProFitHearing2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's indicated for use with single-sided deafness. Consult with your physician for more information. Here's a link with more details. Thanks for watching! hearandnow.cochlear.com/hearing-solutions/bone-conduction/living-with-single-sided-deafness

Hi my son lost his hearing in both ears following a Mumps infection, do you think the Baha can work for him? and for a Bilateral situation does he need processors on both ears?

First off, I'm a drummer. I have total hearing loss in my left ear that happened about 4 months ago. I'm trying to find the best solution for playing and hearing music. I have been to an audiologist and have ruled out hearing aids. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
@ProFitHearing2 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry that you’re experiencing single sided deafness. There are a few options that you can discuss with your audiologist and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) physician. A CROS hearing aid or a bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA) send sound from the affected side to the normal hearing ear, however they do not improve hearing in the deaf ear. A cochlear implant may be considered for improved hearing in the deaf ear. Please consult with your audiologist and physician to see if any of these solutions are appropriate for your specific needs. Thank you for the comment and for watching.

I have single sided deafness, I was told I have a choice between these two, I wanted to know if the I get either one, if I will know the direction the sound is coming from? Because right now, I can only hear from my left ear and everything comes from there, and it’s just too much for one ear to compensate. Also, does this make the sound clearer or does it sound mechanical compared to regular hearing aids? Thank you

I have been using Starkey Livio 2400 for about 2-3 years now. I put a pair of aftershocks I have been listening to music… wow, just , wow. I was a musician (I’m 36 currently, but was about 15-ish when I was last able to barely make out notes clearly and not just have to get something very loud to do that. I am legally blind so sound is so very important to me.

Hi, i'd like to know how much decibéis can a Baha provide against an hearing aid , or be, can a baha get much higher sound in confront to an hearing aid? Thanks for answering.
@kaylasmusic9 ай бұрын
It’s probably about the same as far as how much sound you can get, but i think it’s varies based on the manufacturer and what the specifications are.. some manufacturers offer down to 10khz, and 113-120 db.. don’t know if a baha can

I have a flat moderate hearing loss, both equal components for both,.. would I benefit from BAHA device? Or should I atick to regular hearing aids? I hate things in my ears and ot drives me insane. Im also a musician so is there a BAHA device that accommodates that? Also for surgical options, is there a risk of loosing residual hearing?
@marissamorton37389 ай бұрын
You would only benefit from a baha device if your bone conduction scores are within normal limits. This is called a conductive hearing loss. Ask your provider if your loss is conductive, sensorineural, or mixed. If it's conductive or mixed, you may benefit from a baha.
@kaylasmusic9 ай бұрын
@@marissamorton3738 My loss is mainly sensorineural but also mixed, but I never really mentioned using a bone anchored device because I am not due for a new pair of hearing aids for at least like several more years i think and my current ones are relatively new and got them less than a year ago., and also I am afraid they wouldn’t offer the same sound quality that widex has for music.. however im sure by the time I am due for a new pair, there is going to be soooo much more out there to come so, but i am just trying to not mind having the regular hearing aids in my ears but i just want the best sound quality also but i have no idea if a baha could give that
