Yay!! I would love another follow up on your Osia. My 7 year old will be getting hers in March! She has a Baha / softband now. I would also soooo love recommendations on a “recovery” gift basket for her. Any suggestions to help her sleep comfortably after surgery? Neck pillow maybe?? Anything you wish you would have had immediately following the surgery? She is super nervous and one of the first littles in our area to receive the Osia! ❤

The osia looks like it can be a hair accessory. Blends it with no problem. I just got my osia implant next week and go for the activation in mid August. Have no idea what to expect. Do they give you the outside piece there? Also, have to downloaded the app? If so, is it true you can listen to music or anything when you pair it to your phone via the app? Thank you so much!

Thanks for this informative video. Do both systems (Baha and Osia 2) still sound the same? The reason that I ask this question is that i am eligible for a bone conductive implant on my left side. On my right side I am wearing the Baha 6 max.

Yes the sound quality is super similar between the Osia and by Baha 5. I can't really notice a difference.

Hey I had a question regarding the osia. Are you able to lay down on your sides due to the hearing aid and are you able to wear hats ? Wigs?

Can't really lay on that side because the magnet isn't super strong so it gets knocked off easily! I can wear beanies as long as I'm careful putting it on! Wigs I could probably just have it made with the little circle cut out because you don't want too much between the Osia and your skull!

If you could do everything over again, would you want to get two Osia implants? Or do you like having one Osia and one Baha?

Hmmmmm great question. For me, the baha screw part would always get infected/irritated. I have no issues with the Osia since the implant is all under my skin. Because of this I'm glad to no longer have it! Other than the physical part (magnetic vs snapping into screw) I don't notice any difference between the two... But I am glad I decided to get rid of Baha and do two Osias! (Next surgery in July will be to put in second)
