The CR Smith Museum has cut off a cockpit of an MD-80 and created a really neat exhibit where my voice gives you a 'tour' of all the quirky features of the airplane.
I was lucky to first see the finished product with my two daughters while they were with me when we passed through Dallas and had a stopover there.
Be sure to watch the original video that inspired this museum exhibit:

I've probably watched your MD-80 video 100 times. I love it, it gave such a great overview of the cockpit, that I started flying Delta almost exclusively so I could fly MDs before they're gone. What I found as a passenger, that special single seat near the rear emergency door, how cool! So great to see this on KZbin, great exhibit.

Amazing to have you back Kent! Your MD80 video has been my favourite aviation video for many years, and a source of inspiration to become an airline pilot - and this seems like the most interactive aviation museum exhibit I have ever seen, excluding flight simulators!

Your videos have been so inspiring to me Kent. Happy to report after a lifetime of dreaming, I am beginning the journey to the left seat at 38 years of age. My small family and I have moved in with my inlaws to aggresively for the cost of my ratings. I hope to be a CFI within two years and earn my ATP in three and half. Great to see you on here again, I can honestly say it was some of your earlier videos that stoked the fire to make this career change. From the bottom of my heart, thank you and smooth skies.

I’ll be honest, first time I watched your video about “the reasons I fell I love the MD-80” video in flight school as a student I was set on flying it. A few years go by and now I’m an FO at a regional carrier but unfortunately they aren’t hiring into the MD anymore. Glad to see they’ve used your inspiration into an exhibit for future generations!
