Lovely puzzle from Wuc with a callback to the title. I went for the "hard" cocktail with sharp edges. I imagine that many of you will find a super smooth cocktail.

Rules:
Standard sudoku rules apply: The digits 1 through 9 appear in every row, column, and box.
German Whispers: Usually shown as green lines, adjacent digits along a German Whispers line must differ by at least five.
Renban line: Usually shown as purple lines, digits along a Renban line must form a set of non-repeating consecutive digits in any order.
Kropki pairs: Digits in cells separated by a black dot are in a 2:1 ratio. Digits in cells separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all dots are necessarily given.

I was struggling for a bit and then realized I had a high quad in column 6. The whole thing unwound from there. Very fun.

Great puzzle, and I've been enjoying watching these Sleuth solves. Thank you. (Love to catch background peeks of doggies, too🐕) I started out the same way, solving the kropki dots in the top stack and right band before moving to the whisper line. After seeing the video, I started over with the whisper line. As far as I can tell, you do need to solve the kropki dots in box 3 and 6 first. That'll give you the 6 at the top of the renban, and from that point you can start solving the whisper line.

Thank you for re-starting and trying the german whisper line first. Glad to know the bubbles are needed to crack this puzzle and it wasn't just purely a difficult route that I've taken!

Hey Sleuth, you’re right about the whisper break in being a low number after some of the initial kropki dots were ascertained. But as we say, there are many ways to “skin a cat” in sudoku!
