Correction: the sink holes with 6006 and 464 usually only happen when the container is taller than it is wide. I typed this backwards in the video.

I’ve been using your wax blend for about a year now and I haven’t had much trouble with hot or cold throw, and my fragrance oil collection looks like the Harry Potter library.
@kristijgillАй бұрын
I actually mix coconut apricot wax and c-3 soy wax. The hot and cold throw is great as will as the jar adhesion. I’ve learned it’s okay to mix your waxes. The coconut apricot give the smoothie top your looking for and the soy wax gives the stability.

Alan please help! I’ve tried a ton of different waxes and the one I’ve finally declared that love the most (after 3 years of testing) is coco apricot. I love EVERYTHING except the cold throw!! Hot throw is great, wicking is down, adhesion chef’s kiss but we all know it’s the CT that sells. I heat to 200 and add FO immediately stir 30 secs and pour right away. Any advice?! My coco wax fb group complains of this downfall as well.

Really informative video! I'm in the middle of changing my wax because pure soy is no giving good hot throw and bright colors I'm looking for.

I always wondered why CB2 took a few burns to fully burn outwardly to a full melt pool. I always thought it was something I was doing wrong. So thank you for clarifying that for me. And I do struggle with certain oils and HT do not know why that is. It's frustrating because I do buy from reputable companies. But it is nice to know it's not just me. My main problem is wicking this darn Status jar from CS total pain but I'm stubborn and love the jar. I will stick with CDN'S tho so thanks for that.
@earthglow2 ай бұрын
Yup, you want it to take a few burns or it will end up too hot halfway through. Play around with some different fragrance and make sure you’re adding your fragrance oil at 200-210 Fahrenheit, Glad you enjoyed!
@crystalduke27052 ай бұрын
@earthglow Thanks Allen I will definitely keep messing with fragrances find that certain suppliers work better then others which can be a bummer but I do like CB2 wax so will just have to keep with companies I know get along with my wax. Thanks for pointers I can use all I can get I'm very greatful. I will watch more closely and make sure I'm adding fragrances at 210 I usually add between 220 and 200 but maybe 210 will work better for me.

I think the problem is likely your oils not being the best or your wicking.

Did you get the coconut-apricot creme from makesy?
@earthglow2 ай бұрын
Hi there! No, they do not sell CalWax Coconut Apricot.
@501drone62 ай бұрын
@@earthglow OK you just mentioned the word creme in your video and calwax doesn't call their wax creme. They call. Is Ceda Serica and so it threw me off since I knew they didn't make that wax for makesy.

Has anyone tried the hemp,soy,coco wax. I started using it in wax melts to and CBD, CBG, CBN in them for my sister. I have made a few candles with it and have had good results. Would like to hear from others on the wax. I enjoyed your videos. Keep up the good work.

I switched to Hemp Coco Soy about 6 months ago after struggling with wicking coco apricot for over a year. I have been able to use both wood wicks and cotton wicks without any issues. HT, cure time and jar adhesion is similar to coco apricot. Also found that Premier wicks work best with the FO’s I use. I love this wax and hope they never discontinue it!

I get my wax from Makesy. Nice to know Virginia Candle carries a hemp wax too. Will have to buy some and test it to see if it wicks/burns the same. Always good to have more than one supplier.

It is my understanding all coco-apricot waxes contain a substantial amount of soy - and are not a “pure” blend of coco and apricot wax. What is your experience?
@earthglow2 ай бұрын
Per manufacturers specifications, CalWax Ceda Serics Coco Apricot does not contain any soy. In order to verify your information is correct about any given wax, check the manufacturer’s specifications. Generally their stockists (our suppliers) also provide this information in the description of the product.
@earthglow2 ай бұрын
It is true though, that some other coconut apricot wax blends do contain soy, such as Makesy’s Coco Apricot Creme but this is not the wax being discussed in the video, as I mention. Hope this helps! I know it can be a little confusing at first.
