Our Spaniel behaves just like the one in the video before training (especially the biting which trainers call 'mouthing'! But he is getting better. Don't worry ;-)

How did you train Coco? I have a cocker spaniel too. Please guide

Discipline, discipline, discipline! Just never compromise!! Cockers are one of smartest breeds they learn pretty quickly if you don't compromise and punish or reward them correctly. If your dog does something you don't want always punish it such as forcing it to sit and wait for few minutes. They want to play, run idle sitting is one of heaviest punishments for them. If it does something you like give some rewards it could be food or just simply petting and saying well done. Actually i think using too much food for reward is a little wrong. Anyway if you don't compromise your dog will learn your way in few weeks. I have a cocker too and she is my first dog so i compromised a little bit while training her such as i let her eat food sometimes from streets but always punished her for chasing cats, now she never chases cats but sometimes eats food from streets..

Ggoddkkiller Thanku so much. I tend to compromise a lot but will take care of that. He is a little bit hyper and yes intelligent of course. He acts stubborn many a times

Yeah cockers are energetic and stubborn but he will learn quickly if you never compromise. They learn new things until they are 2-3 years old after that point they build their own character and never change a little bit. Because i compromised and let her eat food from streets she learned that as her right and never gave up even if i punished her like 1000 times in last 3 years (She is 6 years old now) so it is the best to use energy now and never compromise or it becomes a lot harder when they are older. Eating food isn't a big deal but she sometimes gets sick due decayed food but there is nothing i can do due im too late. Maybe if i use some harsh training tactics she would learn but i rather not doing it.

Ggoddkkiller my pup is 4 months old today and he is always in a habit of eating food from the street and when I try to stop him from doing so he often barks or bite me. Thanku so much for the advice, I'm following them 👍
