Jack is the only Italian that has never been to Italy

Gnocchi are NOT cheese filled dough. Those are perogies. Sheesh. Gnocchi are little potato/flour dumplings. They aren't filled with anything.

I have never been to an Italian eatery where the gravy is served on the pasta. It's because I eat the pasta with antipasto veg plate. Dessert I take home as well as most of the food we order. The store was great. I'd shop there. No gnocchi? Jack, where have you been? Now that's in gravy worthy. Love this one kiddo.

There is no "pepperoni" pizza in Italy, that is an American invention. In Italian, pepperoni means "little peppers", so all it is is salami.
@TRMV5 жыл бұрын
Umm I beg to differ, Diavola pizza in Italy it is pepperoni, so though yes pepperoni pizza by that name is not what we are used to here, but you can get pizza with pepperoni on it in Italy!
@ladeacarr4245 Жыл бұрын
@@TRMV diavola pizza has salami on it, not pepperoni .. pepperoni is the american version of salami rounds on pizza ... lived in naples for 4 years

Gnocchi is potato dough pasta. I think your buddy is talking about pierogi
@venividivici208 жыл бұрын
+CdnGamer That was my immediate thoughts going off his description. While you can get gnocchi with cheese flavouring, it's not wrapped in dough.
@jamaljackson99338 жыл бұрын
+Baldrick Exactly... pierogi and gnocchi are NOT the same thing. Not even close.

Jack, just wanted to let you and other viewers know that gnocchi is a pasta made out of potato. There is no cheese filling and it's not made with traditional pasta ingredients.
@Miko_Jones8 жыл бұрын
+ethankegley You could make french fries out of cheese but if you call them french fries, people will expect them to be made out of potato. you can call your cheesy dough balls whatever you want, gnocchi, elephant testicles, unicorn horns, whatever, they're still cheesy dough balls and not gnocchi

Sadly their coffee joint, Cafe Coco, has closed due to COVID-19 business needs and they are turning it into more of a restaurant. I loved Cafe Coco as it was one of the best places to get late night and early morning great food, desserts, coffee and beer. They would often have delicious Italian food as their daily specials. A lot of the area hospitals will miss it too as staff in hospitals have to work strange hours. I have gone to Cafe Coco for years but only recently started filming so I only got a tiny bit of video on Cafe Coco on my last visit so I am so sad I didn't get another chance to capture how special a place it was.
