The whole soundtrack of this movie was excellent, they felt like classic Mexican songs you heard as a kid somehow. And Anthony Gonzalez did a great job delivering those vocals, he was as breathtaking as Auli'i Cravalho was in Moana.

Yes.. it is true.. all the songs in this movie are so calm and beautiful to the ears. Im from Malaysia (Asia) somehow, I always find Mexican, Latin and Spanish music (even the Hawaiian ukelele) (especially played with acustic guitar) sounds so soothing and relaxing.. beautiful music..

Melahuac TV. That's racist man. The duo song wasn't even part of the main movie, but i'm thankful that Miguel made a great rendition of it. The movie was made in respect and and love of our Mexican culture, not specifically to be made with only mexican actors. It was about the culture not the actors. Besides that, a lot of Mexican Americans, and a lot of Mexican actors were given main and secondary roles in the movie, Gael Garcia, Ana Ofelia Murguia, Gabriel Iglesias, Edward James Olmos, Cheech Marin. Dont take away from the cultural significance of the film. It doesn't repair the years of injustice and pain inflected on Mexicans by the US, or its politics, but it does a lot for children living in the US and in Mexico to how a positive depiction of themselves in a new movie. We cant have it both way, we cant be mad when we dont see ourselves represented in media, and then mad when we are because it doesn't do it enough?

How beautiful to read your experience!🥰 I have an amazing photo of me with my great grandmother, Belen, at a wedding when we were all dressed up and when I first felt like a young lady and not a little girl. Mostly Pixar if u see the article Disney want to patent the Culture of Dia de los Muertos that make pixar being held to make COCO but later there a petition and disney withdraw with the culture. (sry Bad English) "Disney hoped to secure the rights to the title "Day of the Dead" and such themed merchandise as fruit preserves, fruit-based snacks, toys, games, clothing, footwear, backpacks, clocks and jewelry." "But finding the right tone for the culture it was spotlighting turned out to be the project’s biggest challenge. At first, to stay clear of stereotypes and making sure to be culturally respectful, Unkrich said he used many Pixar artists and employees who are Mexican or Mexican-American as a sounding board. However, a major roadblock hit the production in 2013 when Disney filed an application to patent Dia de los Muertos for the release of the movie. The Latino community went into an uproar on social media and a petition to stop Disney went up on Change.org and received over 21,000 signatures. The company quickly withdrew the application."

I cried like a Baby, seriously I don't know what it is about this movie that made me cry so much, I think it was the Grandma Coco and how they rendered her, both my Grandma's have passed but I remember them both dearly and miss them, it wasn't that I was so close to them, I was but not to the extreme because I never lived with either one, but more realization of the fact they are not here now and that I loved them and still miss them, certain things jog your memory in a profound way, Coco had this effect on me, I can't watch it again, have told my wife to see but she'll only see it if I rewatch it with her, but I just not right now, another movie that had this type of effect on me was What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams, where he loses his 2 kids in an accident and then he is killed in a freak accident and his wife is left with the sorrow of losing 2 kids and her husband so she commits suicide, He tries to find his kids in heaven but someone comes to give him the bad news that his wife won't be joining them because she commited suicide, so he tries to go down to purgatory and save her, it's a beautiful movie but just to emotinaly draining for me at the time with the birth of my son

Coco an animated movie with no real logic makes yourself strongly attached to your dear ones emotionally. Though in this real world era even we forgot ourselves and losing the memories of all our elder ones. This movie bring back those memories and keeping those around with you to remember again those happy and sad moments. The moment when you ask your grandparents for a little things and got it easily because of their love for you. I forgot them I forgot those moments. But this movie made me again remember those all. "REMEMBER me.." song of this movie will also touch you alot because you all have a son or daughter or will have in future. Give your valuable time in remembering those who nurtured you somewhat someway.

I had heard that this movie was good and I had seen the commercials, but by the time I left the movie I felt it. There was so much more to this movie than the commercials could share, and I think that's a sign of a good film. Definitely of a Pixar film.

He's so talented! Omg. lol. I love how in just Coco to now I've heard him singing in a few short minutes and he destroyed puberty. His voice teachers must be proud. His transition with his voice is seamless.

In Korea, we also honor and remember our dead ancestors/relatives through Jesa by putting up their picture on a table along with a variety of different foods. It's just as Benjamin said, this movie is truly universal and has impacted me in a very substantial way. This was truly a wonderful and great film! (Time to go watch it again...)
